The emergency broadcast took over every news station across the world and was repeated every couple of minutes on loop.
Another major outbreak was occurring all across the globe. The scientific name for it was FR-236, but many sources were referring to it as the Frenzy Virus. Those infected, the Frenzied they were being known as, became enraged at anything and everything around them. They no longer acted or reacted rationally and would begin attacking anything that moved.
It was found that the virus was highly transmittable by fluids such as saliva and blood. There were even cases of individuals who had not been in contact with any other Frenzied becoming sick and turning, but these cases had not been proven.
The country of origin is still being looked into by officials, as it popped up in several places seemingly at the same time, which shouldn't have been possible.
The worlds top scientists were working on breaking down the virus in hopes of finding a cure quickly, but the virus could mutate at an abnormal rate. On top of all of that, the virus was spreading at an unprecedented rate. Many of the countries around the world were on the brink of collapse, especially the ones with a higher population in denser areas.
It was also discovered that the virus had a short incubation window. Some became Frenzied minutes after being infected, others were noted to have gone a couple of hours before showing signs of symptoms.
The news broadcast recommended that everyone stay indoors and watch for the following signs; increased irritability, sudden confusion, extreme bloodshot eyes, incoherent mumbling. Should an individual show any of these symptoms, they should be placed in a safe place away from those around them and their local authorities should be notified.
That was where the broadcast ended each time, only to begin again.
