Makayla pov
We're finally home with our baby boy and Santo has been letting me go out by myself now. I finish packing Asher's diaper bag and walk over to his crib and pick him up. I smile as I kiss his forehead. I placed him down in his car seat and buckled him in.

I grab his car seat and his diaper bag and walk downstairs. I grabbed my car keys and walked outside. Santo bought me a car so I wouldn't have to ride the bus. I shut and locks the door. I put Asher's car seat in the car and put his diaper bag on the floor.

I quickly got in the car and put my seatbelt on before starting the car and driving to the store. I get out of the car and grab his car seat and diaper bag. I walked inside and grabbed a basket and put his car seat in the basket and start looking around for the stuff we need. As I'm looking at the fruits I hear a familiar voice. I quickly look in the direction of the voice and feel my heart drop to my stomach.

I freeze as I see him. No, it can't be him Santo said he lived far away. I see him turn his head to look at something. I sit there in disbelief as I see his face. I feel my eyes start to water and I quickly shut my eyes and control my breathing.

I look away from him and continue looking at the fruits. I can't believe it's him. "Should I go over there and say hi?" I think to myself. No, he left because he doesn't love you all you'd be doing is making a complete fool of yourself.

Jacob pov
I put the vegetables in my basket and start to walk over to the fruits. As I'm walking to the fruits I stop in my tracks. I see her looking down at the fruits. I could never forget her I know for sure that it's her.

I walk over to the fruits. I look at her basket to see one of her hands on a car seat. I look at the car seat and see a sleeping baby with a pacifier in its mouth. I feel the color drain from my face as I see the baby.

I cleared my throat to get her attention. She quickly looks at me and her face immediately goes blank. I can see that she's thinking and I see her breathing change.

Makayla: Jacob...she says as I hear the pain in her voice.

Jacob: hi Makayla. I say as I give her a small smile.

Makayla: how have you um been?

Jacob: I've been good I see you had the baby. I say looking back at the car seat.

Makayla: yep I did. She says looking at the baby and smiling.

Jacob: so what's its name?

Makayla: his name is Asher. She says as she looks at me again.

Jacob: well you don't have to tell me it's Santos because I can already tell. I say feeling my heart break a little

Makayla: yep it's Santos.

Jacob: how has Santo been is he still hurting you?

Just as she was about to say something my girlfriend walked over and grabbed my hand. I watched the expression on her face turn into a confused look.

???: who is this? She asks looking at me confused.

Jacob: oh um this is my friend Makayla and this is my girlfriend Hazel...I say looking at her.

I see the expression on her face change from confused to sad. She puts her fruits in her basket and turns back around to us.

Hazel: hi Makayla it's very nice to meet you. She says as she smiles at Makayla.

Makayla: yes it is and to answer your question no he's not he is very nice to me and hasn't left me like some people I have to go it was nice to see you again. She says with a mad expression and walks away from us.

Hazel: what was that all about? She asks looking at me confused.

Jacob: nothing important. I say giving her a smile.

Makayla pov
As I walk away from them I feel the tears fall. I quickly walk into the family bathroom and shut and lock the door. I burst into tears as I fall to the floor. How can he just hurt me like this, what did I do wrong?

Was I just a toy to him? How is it fair that he can move on and be happy but I can't stop thinking about him? Why can't I be happy and get over him? I get interrupted by my thoughts as I hear my baby crying.

I quickly wipe my tears away and get up. I picked him up and bottle-fed him. Once he finished his bottle I changed his diaper, I put him back in his car seat and buckled him in. I walked out of the bathroom and quickly got everything else we needed and paid. I walked outside and quickly put the groceries and him in the car and put the basket back. I got in the car and drove home.

I get out of the car and grab Asher's car seat and diaper bag. I quickly unlocked the door and set his car seat and diaper bag down. I walked outside and grabbed all of the groceries and locked my car and walked back inside. I set the groceries down in the kitchen and walked over to him and grabbed his car seat. I quickly walked upstairs into his room and put him in the crib and walked back downstairs and put the groceries away.
