Nyssa's POV

I don't know what this strange feeling is. There is something about her, I don't know what it is. She makes me smile. She didn't even shudder at my father's power. Not even a little, instead she laughed. My father's demonstration brought terror to every single person that came before Sara. Yet she laughed. Her laugh was so genuine and so innocent it sparked something inside of me it made me want to protect her, I wasn't going to let anything happen to her. There was something about her. I didn't know what but she sparked something inside of me.
Her legs gave way after my father instructed me to take care of her and train her as one of our own. All assassins are thought to have no emotional attachments, so I knew that nothing could happen but I wanted to get to know her. I carried her fragile tiny body to a room and placed her down, I then went to get medical supplies so I can change her bandages once she's awake. I came back to watch in confusion as Sara wept in her sleep. I was confused as to what was causing this reaction. The strong woman I had previously seen was gone, she was now vulnerable and out in the open. I wanted to hug her! and tell her it was going to be okay and that is a nightmare. I walked over to where she was sleeping and I put my hand on her shoulder. Everything stopped, her sobbing, the rain seemed to silence, the whole world seemed to slow down. For Sara to be able to heal, she needed to sleep peacefully. My father would sing to me when I was a young child to get me to sleep, over the years I memorized the words to those calming songs. I slowly sat next to her on the bed and started singing. I slowly brushed her hair while I sang, it seemed to make her calm down, to make every demon disappear from her world. I knew these demons wouldn't leave for good, but for her to rest, to be in peace for one single moment was worth it.
I sang two full songs until I thought she was fully recovered from her nightmare. She was breathing slower and her heartbeat was calmer, I knew she was either dreaming of her family or a beloved.
I slowly rose from the bed, being tired myself and decided to sleep on the couch in her room in case she was to have another nightmare. The rain seemed to pick up again, but it was a soothing rain. I fell into such a deep sleep , I almost didn't feel my father's gentle touch. He was shaking me now urging me to get up and start training.

"Nyssa"
"Nyssa"
"Nyssa!"
I rose quickly thinking something bad had happened to Sara or that we were being attacked of some sort.
"It's time to start training."
"Yes father, just let me check on Sara first."
"Ill take care of her wound, you get to training."
I couldn't force my father to leave so I could look after Sara, so I had no choice but to nod and head straight to training.
