📛TRIGGER WARNING: Mentions of death & blood📛The light stretches across her eyes, like sand bits falling across her face.
Her tongue cools when kissed with the air she inhales, drinking in the iciness of its liquid. She once felt numb, incapable of feeling, like a body lacking its soul but that was years ago, now she occupies a new self, and doesn't feel restricted to hide behind the darkness of the night.
She still remembers his light grey eyes, staring into her like he could spot the mold forming behind her heart, the sweet petrichor of rainy days walking into her nostrils, after every meeting they've had.
She knows he'll never love her back, see her the way she sees him, know her the way she knows him again but those grey rainy skies remind her of him, when his eyes glistened as she plunged into him, the frozen metal that drew pools of blood all over her hands, his stomach drawing the red stain in excess, sliding down his leg before burying into the ground.
She creeps around the dusty floors, searching for his dry stains of blood, hoping to find life in him once again. Realization hits her, his fluids now gone, replaced by mere stains of crimson indicating her doom, spot by spot. She could never have enough of him, the drops of water could never bring her back to life now.
He was taking her with him this time, into the grey waves as she had taken from him carelessly. His blood had given her life and taken it back.
