Sakura Shehu was the most beautiful young maiden in all of Karab-an.

They called her ethereal, delicious, irresistible, divine, enticing, resplendent... bewitching. The pamphlets would never be enough to describe the eloquence of such a woman.

At least, everyone thought so.

But in the eyes of everyone, only one's thoughts mattered.

His Royal Highness, Sang Barì.

All waited with a knot of impatience for the verdict, his Manam's final say on the matter.

Would Karab-an's ruler bring forth the belle Sakura as his beloved for all to call their Queen?

This is quite the story to tell.

It would seem odd and uncalled for to know a man like Sang Barì, with no concubines, seeing as many before him once had their fair share of trophies

It would seem odd and uncalled for to know a man like Sang Barì, with no concubines, seeing as many before him once had their fair share of trophies.

However, he wasn't like any other.

His presence had all clutching their chests, in an attempt to stop their racy hearts whenever he crossed paths with them. It wasn't that he wanted to frighten them. He was a patient and kind man who had taken the wits and charms of his late father but the anger that brewed inside could be found in his late mother's fierce and bold persona. She held herself high, her beauty transcending across kingdoms but she would have none until she decided.

Sang Barì could thank his parents for all he was and all he had.

Truly, he had been blessed. He would say to his most trusted advisors but like every other king, he lacked an heir, a child son.

His Royal Highness knew he wanted children, not for the purpose of repeating history but because he wanted to have a family of his own. Like his father and mother, he would marry for love so when he began to meet with beauté fatale Sakura Shehu, all of Karab-an expected to call her their Manak, their Queen.

Nevertheless, two years and nothing had happened.

Three then four, followed by five.

Now, it wasn't Karab-an that grew impatient.

It was Sakura Shehu that dwelled in pervasive malaise, yearning for something from him. Anything that would take her away from such a title: Sang Barì's concubine.

She didn't mind the name, she reveled in it, enjoyed being consumed by such a man every now and then but to be his, truly truly his. She couldn't ask for more. She knew what she wanted and she would have him whatever she had to do.

She would become his wife, not the woman that lay beside him for a couple hours, but the woman that sat beside him.

Sang Barì's Manak.
