Manny gave Craig an ultimatum. He had to choose between her and Mickey a decision he did not want to make. Mickey of course knows nothing about this, but she did sense that something was off Craig the next day, the couple was working on their song for 'The Holidays Around the World Festival' Degrassi was holding. "You're every present I never got," Mickey sang her part looking over at Craig, him not meeting her eyes, and when he did it wasn't for long.
"You're every wish that never came true," he sang, focusing on his guitar.
"You're every prayer that went unanswered," They sang together, "So baby, I'll spend Christmas"
"with you" Craig sang, his eyes finally meeting Mickey's.
"with you," Mickey harmonized, a smile growing on her face as they sang the next part together.
"So baby, I'll spend Christmas with you" a string on Craig's guitar snapped, just as Craig looked away from Mickey as Manny was walking by the singing couple. Mickey noticed Craig's vision stray to her friend, watching her as she passed them.
"This crappy guitar," Craig commented, putting down his guitar, only for it to fall over.
"and dropping it on the floor is really going to help," Mickey said lightheartedly, watching Craig jump to pick up his guitar. "Are you alright today?"
"Yeah, I'm fine," Craig insisted, not looking at Mickey anymore. Mickey looked where Manny had gone, thinking about the way he was watching her and wondering if that had anything to do with Craig's behavior, but it couldn't.

Mickey should have been getting ready for her night with Craig, who would be arriving in an hour or so, but instead, she was sitting next to Jimmy on the sofa with Mr. & Mrs. Brooks facing the pair. The adults had wanted to talk about Mickey and her status as a member of the family, seeing as her birth father was now back in the picture and fighting for custody, all of which was news to Jimmy. "Wait how all has this been going on?" Jimmy asked, looking between Mickey and his parents.
"David reached out to us at the start of the month, but his lawyers reached out a few days ago," Mr. Brooks, Jermaine answered his son's question.
"Lawyers?" Mickey asked not knowing about that part yet, "but you two can fight him right?"
