"Hey," Jimmy asked, meeting up with Arlo in the hallway on their way to media immersion class.
"Uh, Hey," Arlo said, a little thrown off as to why Jimmy was talking to him. The pair were warming up to each other, but it was usually Arlo who made the move to interact with Jimmy, not the other way around. "What's up?"
"Nothing, Nothing," Jimmy said, "Hey, how is Mickey settling in?". Arlo nodded. Of course, that was what Jimmy was wanting. They were still working on the friends outside of Mickey. Arlo was still working on friends, either way. He got along pretty well with the girls, but not so much with the guys, but he was trying.
"She seems to be doing fine, but wouldn't that be a better question for her?"
"See, you don't know Mickey as well as I do, and she kind of has this tendency to push down her feelings about big things," Jimmy explained. "She also tends to learn a new hobby when she's really upset. After her mother's death, she learned the drums. Her and J.T. fought then, don't talk for a whole summer she started making movies, and the baking well, I don't remember why she started. I didn't protest."
"Well, she has decided to learn to crochet in order to make Mr. Simpson a hat for his birthday," Arlo said, thinking back to the other day.
Jimmy shocked his head. "Just watch out for her, okay." Jimmy said as the two boys approached the media immersion classroom.
Just in front of them, Hazel was walking into the room, staring intensely at her driving textbook. "You know you're not gonna learn to parallel park by reading that book ten more times," Jimmy said to the girl as she and the pair of boys entered the classroom.
"We get behind the wheel this afternoon. I am so freaked. I am gonna be a disaster on the road." Hazel said. Today, the grade 10 class started drivers education, and many of the students were nervous about driving for the first time.
"You can't be worse than me," Arlo said, taking his seat next to Hazel's. "My dad tried to teach me a little earlier this summer. There's still a dent in the car.". Hazel laughed.
Behind the three, Spinner was talking to himself, pretending he was behind the drives seat of a car, "Okay, One foot on the break, two mirror check, three-" Spinner's rambling was cut off as Paige walked up behind him tickling him. "Stop, don't," he protested, pulling away from his girlfriend.
