It was an early clear summer evening at the Dinnie household as Ethan sits at the dining room with his dad, younger brother and younger sister as Melissia the mum of the family who can be described as beautiful at 34 years old with long brown hair with matching brown eyes, slim fit body and she stands at 5'7 as she walks around the table putting down a plate of food in front of everyone one by one, then after everyone has a plate of food in front of everyone Melissia sits down in her usual spot and they start to eat their dinner together as a family.
As they eat the dad Andrew being the tallest at 5'8, short dark blond hair, brown eyes, slim body with a slight beer belly has a 5'0 clock shadow on his face at 36 year old he sits in his chair eating his dinner but stops eating to look up at his children and starts asking them one at a time what they have up to that day from the youngest family then to the next eldest child giving them time to answer after 20 minutes Andrew looks at what is to suppose to be his 17 year old daughter but unknown to him is his son dressed in blue skinny jeans, a black loose hoodie, some band shirt underneath with a binder underneath it and converse shoes.
Andrew clears his throat as he asks his daughter "Ashley, Didn't you go for your driving test today?".
Ethan stops eating and looks up from his food over at his dad and answers "yes, I did".
Andrew looks at his daughter and asks, "well how did it go?".
Ethan gives a small smile as he tries to feel proud of himself, "I passed my driving test, dad, I got my licence".
Andrew smiles at Ethan, "congratulations on passing your test, do you have enough money saved up to afford your own car?".
Ethan, still with a small smile on his face feeling proud of himself, answers his dad, "yes I do, I'm going to be looking at a car after school tomorrow with Emma".
Andrew smiles at his daughter not saying anything as he thinks she is going to bring home something like a basic automatic four door sedan or a little hatchback. Unknown to Andrew Ethan had done his manual licence and the car Ethan is going to look at isn't going to match up with what his father is thinking.
As dinner time passes in the Dinnie household Ethan stands up saying "I'm finished, thanks for dinner mum I'm going back to my room". Ethan takes after his mother getting his good looks from her with his short brown hair and brown eyes, stands just shorter than his mum at 5 '7 and like his mum he is in good shape with a slim body that is slightly toned from spending time at the gym.
Ethan pushes his chair in as his mum Melissia says to Ethan 'okay sweetie, i be in later to kiss you good night', Ethan says to his mum, 'okay mum' as he walks off out of the living room and through the family home and goes upstairs to his bedroom. As Ethan turns the knob on his bedroom door and walks inside into his bedroom it is not what you call a typical teenage girl bedroom with band posters on the wall, dirty clothes on the floor wherever he thrown them, a messy desk in the left hand corner of the room with his computer on it, next to it a table that has a 42" tv on it with a Nintendo Switch connected to it and a stack of 20 unorganised games next to it, with his unmade double bed on the right hand side of the room.
Ethan walks over to his bed, drops down on to his knees feeling exhausted and faceplate his face into his bed letting out a loud sigh of relief to be away from his family and to get a break from being misgendered and being called by a name he dislikes and feels like nails on a chalkboard each it's used with him, Ethan thinks to himself "I be glad when I move out for university next year, I can finally come out and tell them."
With Ethan face against his bed he lose track of time before hearing a knock on his door, he gets up onto his knees feeling annoyed that his mum is at the door since she the only one in the family who knocks on the door at waits till he opens the door and doesn't just barge in like the rest of his family members, Ethan stands up and walks over to his bedroom door and opens the door inwards, in front of him standing there is his mum Melissa, Ethan gives a small smile at his mum as she walks into Ethan room.
