Alex POV

I scoffed, hearing Lea on the other side. I felt so hurt and angry that she had such horrible thoughts about me..My own wife. As I attempt to calm down, I hear soft knocking on the door.

"Alex, darling, I didn't mean it. I'm sorry..."

I thought to myself for a few minutes, debating if I truly wanted to open the door...I could ask her to sleep on the couch but maybe she just had the best intentions for me. I slowly get up to open the door, when something catches my eye. She is looking through the door, waiting for a reply. I've never seen her so desperate...She must really be sorry this time. Good.

After I open the door, Lea immideatly runs into my arms, sobbing and babbling about a bunch of irrelevant things, also throwing in a few apologies here and there. I comfort her the best I could, rubbing her back, kissing her hair, and wiping her tears telling her that it's alright and not to worry about it at all. This seems to calm her down, as she looks up to me, a huge smile on her face, a much less sad one. I smile back in return and place a kiss on her forehead.

"Let's just forget about this all and go to sleep.." I murmur, placing multiple kisses on her head as I play with one of her hair strands.

"Or...Maybe we can talk about this over wine..." Her voice trails off, as she looks up at me and runs her hands down my chest. I laugh softly and smile down at her.

"Is that your solution every time? Wine and sex? How about tonight...since it's just me and you, we can do something new. Like just watching a new T.V show..Going somewhere. I know you love art."

As I'm speaking, I see her eyes sparkling with joy and love...She's always done this whenever I talk about 'couple' things. I never got the point, but she really seems to love it all so I decide to go along with it all for her.

"That sounds wonderful! Although, it is a bit late to leave. Soooo, I'll get the popcorn!" She runs off rather quickly.

I nod over at her and changed into some shorts and put on something random on T.V, staring down at my phone. Salem had texted me, asking how my night was. Instantly, my heart fluttered. I loved my son so much, he was always so kind and caring. I replied back to him and told him it was late and to get some rest and I loved him very much. I turn off my phone and wait for Lea to come back. It's been a few minutes, and I start to get a bit restless so I go into the kitchen.

As soon as I walk in, she turns over to me, giggling pretty loudly. Suddenly it's obvious she has gotten into the wine.

"How much did you drink?" I asked, very worried as I took the bottle hidden from behind her back, staring at it in shock. "Lea, this damn thing is half empty"

"It's not that big of a deaaaaaalll....Relax Alex..."

I sigh softly, shaking my head as I pick her up and carry her to bed, laying her down and turning off the lights. Instantly, shes asleep. So, I go on my phone again, texting away and scrolling through social media until I get tired and slowly doze off...
