III. My Accompany

"Walk faster, would you?" Naruto huffed as we walked along some rocks in a forest. "Shut up... I'm tired. Who's fault is it that I woke up so early with barely any sleep?" I grumbled.

"You act too reckless for a villain. Remember you'll get killed if you don't do as I say?" Naruto chuckled. "Suppose so." I sighed. What an idiot.

"Here," he paused at the river. "We need some water. Help me collect some." He threw over a canteen, motioning to fill it up. I got on my knees and just as I was about to turn, Naruto was removing his shirt, revealing his sun kissed body, still sweaty from all the walking.

"Ah- stop staring or I'll know you're gonna try and kill me." Naruto chuckled, throwing his shirt to the ground. "W-what are you doing, idiot?" I asked before quickly turning to collect the water.

"If you have to know, I'm going to have to wipe my body down after all that walking. Did you want to help me with that too, or what?" He laughed, as if joking. But to be honest...

"Hey! I won't do that! I might be nice to you now, but don't forget I tried to attack you before!" I exclaimed confidently. Even though I'd never even think of hurting him... Jesus though, he is even more attractive than usual... my eyes were looking to the side at him getting the water. I got up with the canteen which was now full.

"Take a bit of it. You're gonna need it." Naruto smiled at me. "I was gonna drink it anyway, tch." I took a long gulp before refilling it one last time. "Jesus, you are one cruel person, kidnapping me and then depriving me of water and food? Uuuuggghhh..." I complained, though it wouldn't get me anywhere.

"Ahaha... let's find a shelter for now, and I'll get you some food, alright? I might be cruel but you do need to stay alive for now." Naruto chuckled. We walked a little bit more and finally arrived to our destination; somewhat of a cave, a little different from my previous one. This one was much smaller, maybe a bit less sturdy too.

"Will this really work? For both of us? It's kind of small..." I looked over at Naruto who was leaning against the rock wall across from me, eyes toward the back of the cave. "Hm. We don't really have much choice anyway," Naruto walked in, throwing his bag of supplies down.

I sat beside him in the pretty crowded cave where Naruto threw a bunch of sticks down before lighting it with a lighter. "This will work, I need you beside me at all times anyway so that you don't decide to run away."

"Stay here. I'm going to gather some meat and fruits. I can trust you with that, right?" Naruto asked me, and I answered with a simple nod. "Yeah." I leaned against the wall beside the nice fire where Naruto was on his knees in front of me.

"Alright then. See you in a little bit." He grinned before leaving. The sky was already beginning to set... he'd better hurry before the bears come out. I stared into the deep fire, feeling as though I was going to pass out from exhaustion. That rascal, he really made me walk around all day. At least he's the one getting food. I wonder why he's actually trusting me so quickly? It's almost like he doesn't see me as an enemy.

Naruto came back within 30 minutes, which was pretty quick, though he came back with all sorts of cuts on his shoulder and legs and neck, too. "Hey, what happened?" I managed to mutter curiously.

"What?" Naruto said dumbly, and I went up to him, running my fingers gently over the side of his neck. "Right there. You have all sorts of cuts on you. What happened? Did you get attacked?" I said.

"Ah- those... I'm surprised you noticed them that fast, but..." Naruto paused and looked down at my other hand. "Your hand is on my thigh, Sasuke." He said quietly before chuckling as I freaked out and fell backwards.

"Maybe you should touch my neck and thigh again, Sasu~" he said jokingly, immediately laughing after he said that. I looked at him in embarrassment, eyeing his whiskered cheeks and pink lips. "S-shut up..." I grumbled before leaning back on the wall again. My eyes fluttered at him.

There was a long silence before I broke it. "Why did you choose me to accompany you?" I muttered out the question, just barely. "Why?" Naruto asked.

"Yeah, why. I'm not even helping out all that much. I'm just following you around for days on end," I said as Naruto looked at me curiously this time. "...I want to be more useful to you."
