"Ah..." Naruto's eyes widened.
I just softly laughed. "You idiot, this is your confession? Kind of lousy, isn't it?" I went on, though my face began to feel hot.
Naruto half smiled, though even I could see he was just nervous. I crossed my arms and leaned back. The blonde just got even more panicky as I didn't respond to him.
"So.. Sasuke.. then—"
I interrupted him by pulling his suit collar closer to me as I gently kissed him. His hand grappled onto my arm, then moving up to my hair. We slowly parted for air."Sasuke.. you...?" He licked his lips slightly. I smiled and blushed. "Yeah,"
I stood up to face him. "You wrote it well." Naruto seemed to blush at that. It seems that now I was noticing the things that he'd done before that anybody could see was obvious.
"I've loved you for a long time, not that you noticed," I admitted, my breath hitting his whiskered cheek. I pulled him close and hugged him, nuzzling my head into his chest. "Naruto, I like you a lot. I know that you'll succeed. That book... it was as if there was some kind of spell in it. It ran my imagination wild. That is talent. Pure talent."
Naruto's arms slowly wrapped around me. "Sasuke... I like you too. A lot. I mean, I don't think I've ever liked someone more..." I could feel his heartbeat hit my head. It was rapid.
"Naruto..." I looked up at him. He seemed to blush the moment he saw me, his heartbeat going fast.
"Sasuke. How would you like to come to my house? We can share a meal together, just learn some about each other." He brought up such a random question. But honestly.. it was something I'd want him to ask me anyway. So I nodded.
He grabbed my hand and lead me to his car where he began driving to his house. It was a pretty nice house after all. He must've lived off decent money.
"Wow, it looks really nice." I said as we walked up to his porch. He unlocked his door and allowed me in first. I looked around, seeing an even nicer inside to the house.
Naruto came in and shut the door behind him. "Yeah, my parents make good money," he admitted. "They helped me pay for this a little while ago."
"So what did you want to do?" I nonchalantly asked. I always want the direct answer for something, so might as well ask him.
He went up to me and grabbed my chin like he did when I first got that book, and then softly whispered into my ear, "Sasuke, I feel as if I would be moving too fast, but please, feel free to make a move on me... I won't decline."
I shivered. Perhaps I'd take him up on that.
"Mm... I may have to think about that. But for now, I'm starving. I need some food..." I groaned. He smiled at me. "I'm sure you are. Your favorite food is onigiri, right? The rice stuff?"
I nodded. "Yeah, anything that isn't sweet though to be honest." I walked into the kitchen with him.
Naruto reached and grabbed freshly wrapped onigiri and then handed it to me. "Here, I'll make some ramen too, so if you're still hungry let me know."
I smiled and took it. "Thanks, Naruto." I slowly unwrapped it and took a bite out of it. Mm.. it's tasty.
"Wow, this is the best onigiri I've ever had... where did you buy it?" I asked with my eyes widened. It really was good."Oh, it's from a store my grandfather owns. I didn't cook it, I can barely cook at all..." he chuckled. "But I'm glad you like it." He said as he slid the ramen into the pot of boiling water. I could see he was excited for the ramen through his cheerful expression. I guess I've always been fond of how excited he is even over the smallest things.
