"Huh! He must've broken through the vents..." the man hesitantly stood there, though on the edge of dropping purely from panic. The man began sweating from the looks of it. Naruto took a few steps forward and... I blinked. When my eyes opened again, Naruto had a knife pulled at his throat — just like that other guy, Sai, had done to me.
Naruto stood over him, his arm ready to move at any given moment. "W-wait, we can talk about this!!-" the man shook. Naruto smiled at that, almost laughing. "That's funny coming from you. Didn't I say the same? But..." Naruto paused, moving the point of the knife directly against his adam apple. "...instead, I won't just be holding your lover hostage. I'll eliminate you completely."
Ah.. he said lover...?
Just like that, my heart seemed to of skipped a beat."O-okay! What do you want me to do! Take everything!..." the man had quickly turned from being full of himself to shaking to the thought of Naruto. It was pleasing.
"Tch, you're pathetic." He pushed the man harshly, causing him to slam to the ground. Naruto quickly walked up to me, untying my arms. He took a deep breath before looking at me, letting out a sigh of relief.
He kissed my forehead, running his hand through my dark locks from underneath at the back. "Let's go, I have a place I want to take you." He whispered, and all I could do is nod and take his hand, admiring his beauty.
We fled, leaving everyone behind, including the man who had tied me up and threatened to torture me. Naruto ended up not killing him — but rather, leaving him to rot.
Naruto kept hold of my hand, leading me somewhere, where we kept running. On our way, it began raining— leaving us soaked. Naruto had suddenly stopped. He turned around to face me, as we stood on a mountain. The mountain faced the beautiful moon as it rained.
The blonde kept my hand in his, bringing it to his lips. They gently grazed over my knuckle, stopping to kiss it. His eyes raised to look at me. "Sasuke," he said softly. "Where do we go from here?" Naruto muttered a single question, to which I had no reply I could say. I had not a clue where we were going, or what we were doing. We'd been hiding but clearly were being tailed.
"What happened to your house? Why were you on the run in the first place?" I managed to mutter up a question. "My town will be disappointed in me." He said. "Disappointed?"
"They won't be proud of me knowing I ran off with someone who people make out to be some terrible villain." Naruto managed to say, and as he did, I felt myself beginning to feel upset. Even though he was right, still... I don't want to be a secret.
"Naruto... you need to be brave." I let go of his hand. "Even if it's scary, I can't be some secret of yours," I sighed. "Why let some label define who you are? I'm not a hero nor a villain. Just as you aren't a villain nor a hero. You're just... you." I leaned towards him. "You need to come to terms with yourself and who you are."
I think I had finally understood him now— he had run off in this story line because he was afraid of his feelings. But he knew he couldn't escape these feelings. Once he realized they were reciprocated, he wanted to stay away from his home town, despite it risking not only him, but me, too. And in this story... I must guide him.
Starting off with what seems to be like a wish; something that will for sure impact Naruto's actions. Even though this was some book, I think I know what Naruto wanted to get across... but now, what do I need to do to conclude this story?
