"So how was your first day at the court? I heard there was a big ball."

Taehyung looked at his mother with tired eyes. He had just got up but already got disturbed by all those questions. Oh god, Taehyung really didn't have the energy for this right now.

The ball lasted well past midnight, so the guard didn't get much sleep last night. He didn't have time to sleep in either, because he had another shift today at 2 p.m. Which by the way was in less than two hours.

"Don't give your mother the silent treatment Taehyung. I'm trying to chatter with you", his mother persisted with a bit of a pissed voice. She didn't like her son's attitude she got greeted with.

"It was okay", he muttered and poured himself a big glass of red wine. The guard excused himself into the living room before more questions came out. He just wanted to get some space for himself. He sat by the fireplace and took a long sip from his wine.

The crown prince.

The alpha, that had made his way to be stuck in Taehyung's head. He had been preparing himself for that, Taehyung swore he had. But he didn't expect his mind to be this messed up for that alpha. At least not this soon.

And Taehyung didn't like it, not at all. Or the fact that it took Jungkook approximately only 1,42 seconds to make all of this happen. At least Taehyung had been able to keep his professionalism and didn't show that his heart rate just increased by double. His dad didn't train him for nothing.

Because Taehyung had spent over half of his life practicing to be like a true-breed alpha. His actions, his gestures, his whole body language were screaming an alpha. Just like the tone of his voice and the way he talked. He trained really hard to build muscle to his figure as well. He even learnt to resist the smell of an alpha, even during his heat. There was no omega in him, Taehyung was raised fully as an alpha.

Yet here he was, trying to shake off his thoughts about an alpha he had spent 5 minutes together with. Taehyung couldn't deny that it was kinda scary to realize his situation. He wasn't even sure how this all managed to happen.

Taehyung had admired the alpha's features from further away while working. That was something he was still able to stand. But when the alpha had headed to the balcony looking pale and uncomfortable, Taehyung had felt the responsibility to go check on him.

And that's when he got caught off guard.

The very moment the alpha's dominating scent reached his nostrils. The smell of a forest after rain with a hint of dark chocolate in it. Suddenly it was the only thing Taehyung wanted to smell anymore. It was calming, it was refreshing, yet so heady. Like it was some kind of drug.

After that, the alpha had been stuck in Taehyung's mind. Like a cd-disc stuck in the repeat -mode without any button to turn it off. Taehyung had to find a way to make it stop, before he is completely drawn to that young man.

Those feelings didn't differ that much in Jungkook either. He couldn't stop thinking about the handsome man in his guard's uniform. Even though Jungkook had only imagined himself with a woman before this, he wasn't too bothered about his sudden feelings towards the same gender.
