"Do you know her?" the woman asked Sean.

"Yeah," he answered briefly as he approached me.

I feel like I want to melt or sink in my erection. Why is he here? Why did we still see each other in so many places and in the vastness of the Philippines? I'm not ready to face him again because of what happened to us before. I am ashamed of myself and the way I look now.

"Ahm... it's you," I answered the question. I can't look at him yet because I feel like I'm going to melt from his staring, especially that girl he's with.

"How are you?" he asked.

"Hon, who is she?" said the woman who seemed to be a mystery to me.

"She is my..." hung Sean's introduction to me.

"His old friend," I caught what he said. His reaction didn't change at all but he seemed to agree with what I said.

"Oh, your old friend? You didn't tell me about him, Hon?

"I'm sorry, Hon. It's been quite a while, so I've forgotten it." Sean immediately explained.

"Sorry, I have to go. I still have somewhere to go," I said goodbye to them because I was a little annoyed with Sean. I don't know but I was really hurt that he didn't even take back what I said I was just his friend.

"Oh, why? I still want to be with you. We're going to eat outside, maybe you want to come along so we can get to know each other. You know because I also want to be friends with my fiance's friends. He said smiling at me, but I didn't show that I was pissed off.

"Come on, my grandson is hungry, let's eat before we go home."

I nodded in response. It's a good thing we're leaving the place because otherwise Sean and I might meet again. I don't want him to see that I have a child.

After some time we went home. Jordan was very happy, because his Grandma even bought him many drawing notebooks at the Book Store. We saw Julius' car outside the gate so I immediately felt nervous. It has come home and it already knows that we left the house. I could hardly step inside but Mama kept coming in. It stopped when it saw me stop at the gate.

"Aira, what are you doing there? Why do you look pale? Mama asked me.

"Julius is already there, Ma."

"Will he ride it outside? It's good then and I can talk to him. Come inside and this grandson of mine is tired, maybe he wants to rest.

I did nothing but follow Mama. Upon entering, we found Julius sitting on the sofa in the living room. He was talking to someone on the cellphone at that time. When he saw us entering the door, he suddenly said goodbye to the person he was talking to and put the cellphone on the table. It stood up and greeted us.

"Mom, where are you from? You didn't even say that you were going to leave. His face was serious but his anger could not be traced.

I want to counter and slap it because of the power of pretending, but I can't because I'm still afraid of it. I just followed what he said and I brought Jordan into the room. While I was inside the room and dressing my son, I tried to listen to their conversation outside. But I couldn't hear anything, probably because of the thick door and the cemented wall. I was worried about what Julius might do here, so when I was sure that Jordan was clean and lying down, I said goodbye to her and went out to get her milk from the kitchen. I saw Mama and Julius talking seriously. And when they sensed that I left the room, Mama immediately stood up.

"Son, is my grandson asleep? I'm leaving because I'm going to buy something at the super market. I'll be back tomorrow, I've already said goodbye to my friend's party we're going to tomorrow.

I frowned at what Mama said. Party? Julius agreed that we attend such fun?

"Alright, Ma. Jordan is still awake, go to the room so you can say goodbye. I'll just get him some milk.
