He looked at me one last time. "I'm Adam", he quietly stated. He watched as his homeroom class lined up to get in. " I have to go... I'll catch ya later..". "Bye Adam", I said, pushing his back playfully. "Bye Lilli!". I turned around. Liz was standing there. She was headed to Ms. Kjorlien's room. I had a daydream look in my eyes. I walked to Liz. "How are they?", she said. I pulled up my sleeve to reveal several small slits in my arm. Three were new. "Oh no... Wow". She tapped one of the slits with her finger. I winced in pain. I turned myself around, only to see Adam walking over here. I quickly pulled down my black sleeve. "You- you said-", Adam began. I looked up at him, my curly hair blowing into my face. " If- if I would've known..", he continued. I bit my lip and stared back at my shoe. He wrapped his long arms around my torso as I stood there, pale and motionless. It came to me, and I buried my face in his jacket, tears welling up behind my pale blue eyes. Liz stood there, awkwardly blushing like the potato she is. Adam was late, I was late. But we didn't break our hug until I was beginning to cry into him. We pulled away and smiled at each other. "Thanks...", I started to say. "I care about you... Lilliana.". He pulled up one sleeve to reveal several scars. I stared at them and was overcome with sadness. "Hey... Meet me in the eighth grade pod fourth period. I'll be there with Liz." He nodded and walked away. "What was dat?", Liz said. I smiled and looked down. " oh. I see how it is Harlee." She smiled and walked away
