JJ's POV:

"Morning my little stimulant addict how are you today?" I laughed walking into Jo's tiny hospital room.

"really JJ?" John B said looking up at me from the chair in the corner of the room

"too soon?"

"too soon" he replied

"i'm fine JJ, the sooner I can get out of this place the better" she replied sitting up

"Well I brought breakfast" i said setting down a bacon sandwich from the cafe "so what did i miss?"

"well the doctor said that-"

"John B there is no point telling him because i'm not doing it" Jo said interrupting her brother

"you're not doing what?" I asked sitting down on the end of the bed

"they want to lock me up with a one way ticket to the fucking grippy sock hotel"

"Jo, they aren't locking you up. Psych just want to come down and speak to you" John B said rolling his eyes

"well i don't want to speak to them" she said folding her arms over her chest

"but Jo if they can help-"

"let me act this out for you dear brother" she snapped "hey Jo, we heard you overdosed on class A drugs, is this true? Yes that is true, BOOM Grippy socks"

"Jo that's a little dramatic" he sighed

"its not dramatic. Right JJ?" she said looking at me for help

"I...uh"

"oh my god you agree with him" she shouted

"i just....i don't think it would be a bad idea for you to talk to someone-"

"-grippy socks" she said cutting me off

"maybe they could help-"

"-grippy socks"

"then you could-"

"-grippy socks"

"would you stop fucking saying grippy socks" I snapped

"no"

"look Jo, at the end of the day you need help. Professional help. Not from me, not from John B or Sarah or Pope. Actual help"

"i don't need help"

"well thats just denial"

"aren't you the one always saying deny, deny, deny" she argued

"Jo...we are just worried about you and these people know whats best"

"but-"

"no buts. You're talking to them. And if they lock you up in the fucking Psych ward then I will bust you out of there myself. Deal?"

"JJ I-"

"deal?"

"fine" she said slouching down in a strop

"you're good" John B said impressed

"i know" I shrugged as there was a knock on the door

"Good Morning Jo, how are we feeling today?" A woman said as she entered the room

"Like i'm on the comedown of a lifetime" she snapped

"Jo....not helping" I said looking over at her

"No thats quite alright" the lady chuckled to herself "well my name is Dr. Elizabeth Reid, I am head of Psych here at Kildare community hospital."
