Yeona's POV 🦋

6:55 pm.

The time shines up at me from my cell phone screen, and I can feel the anxiety building as I wonder blindly what is about to happen. I still went ahead and got Blossom ready for bedtime, putting her in a warm pajama top and bottoms. Glancing over at the corner of our room, I look at the bag I've packed with all our clothes. Not that we have much, but I keep checking to make sure I didn't miss anything.

"Mama, why did you put my shoes on for bed?" Blossom giggles as she wiggles her feet in delight.

"For fun!" I smile down at her.

"Why don't you hug Chimmy for a little while? I think he could use some extra loving tonight?" I say as I push her little yellow friend into her tiny eager hands.

"Oooh Chimmy, I love you sooooo much!" she says in a singsong voice and clutches him to her chest, and then I hear the knock on the door.

I'm on my feet as fast as I can, slinging the bag strap across my body and scooping Blossom into my arms, grabbing her coat as I head to the door. "Blossom, remember those special friends I told you about earlier?" I say quietly, and she nods.

"We are going out for a special trip with them. It will be so much fun! Let's go!" I say, trying to keep the nervousness out of my voice as I hear my mother grumbling from her bedroom.

"Who the hell is that?" she calls out, but I rush by her bedroom door without responding.

She must have caught a glimpse of me because all of a sudden I hear her moving fast, "YEONA! WHAT IS GOING ON!"

I pull the apartment door open, and a well-dressed, handsome man with a sharp haircut and bulging biceps is standing there that I don't recognize, and I take a step backward in shock.

"Yeona, it's okay," I hear Lily's voice say as she materializes at his side and pushes her way through the door.

"Where do you think you're going with Blossom?" I hear my mother say angrily.

"They are coming with us," Lily says as she puts herself between my mother and me, and I'm in shock.

"Who the hell are you?" she asks as she gets in Lily's face, her cheeks growing red.

"Somebody who is not scared of you. I suggest you back up because you don't know who you are dealing with," Lily says confidently as the large man, who I finally realize is one of the member's security team, steps up next to Lily, and I watch my mother shrink back a few steps.

"Tae-Tae! You're back!" Blossom calls out, but even though she is happy to see him, I know she still senses something tense is happening, and I feel instantly bad she has to experience this.

"Yeona, don't you dare do this. Blossom belongs here. This is her home; I treat her like gold..." my mother calls out as if I am incapable of taking care of my own child.

"Tae, could you and Yoongi take Blossom down to the car?" I ask steadily.

"Ooooh, it's MEOW!" Blossom cheers excitedly when she notices Yoongi standing just outside the apartment door, and for a fleeting moment, I'm amused as I watch Yoongi's face soften. Tae takes my little love from my arms, and I grab the car seat sitting next to the door, thrusting into Yoongi's arms as they quickly make a getaway with my sweetheart. I wait until they are safely down the hallway and turn toward my mother.

"You do treat her like gold, but it's only to spite me because, for some reason, you've made me your punching bag, and that started waaaay before Blossom ever existed. You've pushed me too far, and we aren't coming back," I reply as I grab my coat, and Lily wraps her arm around my waist, backing me up toward the door.
