The Invitation

The Elemental masters stand on the boat that will take them to the Tournament, when a loud disturbance occurs, drawing the attention of everyone onboard.

An old man follows after a crowd of teenagers, yelling at the blond haired one dressed in green. "Lloyd, wait! If you get on that boat, you may never return."

The teen seems taken aback. "What are you doing here, Dad?"

"Master Chen is a dangerous man who should never be trusted. Whatever he promised you, do not believe him."

A new face joins the conversation, The right hand to the creator of the tournament. "Lord Garmadon. It's been a while. It's Sensei now, correct? I can't remember."

The old man glares at the second in command. "Clouse. I see Master Chen still has you running his errands."

"I have to go, Dad. This is about Zane. It's about family. If we're ever going to be whole again, I have to get on that ship."

 "Last call. Are you in, or out?"

"I can't stop you, son, but I can join you."

 "Sorry, no more room in the ship."

"No room?" The old man kicks a thug off the ship.

Clouse smiles. "I stand corrected. There's room now."

"Don't worry, I'm not here to compete. Only to look out for my interests."

"Ahem!" A new voice calls out. 

"Ah how good to see you." Clouse kicks another Thug off a ship and brings the ladder back down.

"Thank you!" The female steps onboard. The Ninja take notice of her strange appearance. She's wearing a yellow Kitsune mask covering her entire face. along with a yellow crop top and shorts, as well as bandages across her arms and legs. 

Kai watches as she takes a step onto the boat and lets out a dreamy sigh, Lloyd takes notice of this.

"We can't let anything distract us. You hear me, Kai?"

"Uh?" He snaps out of his trance.  "Uh, yeah. Uh, got it. Whatever you said."

The women disappears into the crowd as Clouse yells to start the ship.

Lloyd looks at his father. "You know him. You said his name's Clouse."

"Don't be fooled by his attire. He is a Master of the Dark Arts and Master Chen's number 

The Earth Ninja spoke up. "Huh, I thought Master Chen's number two was an eggroll and fried rice."

" Why haven't you or Wu ever told us there are others with powers like us?"

"Because there are some things we don't want you to know. You were led to believe you were special, yet you never questioned where your powers came from."

"Uh, are you implying that I'm not special?"

"Everyone on this ship is a descendant of an original Elemental Master."

"Elemental Master? Who were they?"

"They were the first Spinjitzu Master's guardians, each endowed with an Elemental Power that has passed down through generations."

 "Can't she? Power lies in all of you. It only needs to be awoken. The fighters here serve no master and have managed to unlock their own true potential. For instance, that pale man. A distant relative to the Master of  invisibility. Watch closely and you'll see how he's stayed hidden all these years." The man vanishes as a fast blur flies past the Ninja's eyes. "Then there's Griffin Turner. Grandson to the Master of speed."

The man in the jumpsuit speeds around. "Hey, you can't lay a hand on me. I'm faster than fast. Swifter than swift."

 "Uh, Master of Speed? Pfft. That's not an Element." Jay scoffs.

Garmedon Smirks. "So asks the Master of Lightning."

Cole laughs. "Oh, snap, he got you there." 

"And, uh, who's she?" Kai points to the mysterious female in the Kitsune mask.

"I don't know. Most of these people I have not seen. But they will all be gunning for you. You are ninja. You serve with honor. Here, that means very little."

Kai sees a man with giant metal gloves harassing the unknown female. "Well, maybe honor means something to me." He starts to walk up to them.

The female punches the man across the face, leaving blood on her arm from the impact. The man lies on the ground, completely out cold as the female silently stares at him then walks away.

The Ninjas all have looks of horror on their face. Cole walks up to Kai and puts his hand on his shoulder and nervously laughs. "W-Well I guess she didn't need any of you're honor."

A women in a mysterious cloak bumps into Kai. "Hey! Watch where you're going,"

Chen Speaks up. "We're here. Welcome to Chen's Island." He hides behind a crate and pulls out a walkie-talkie. Master Chen, Garmadon has returned. He says he will be looking out for his interests."

Master Chen's voice comes from the device. "Interesting. You worry too much, Clouse. Everything will work out. Just wait and see." He hangs up.

 "I swore to never return."

"You know, you should never swear. It's a sign of weak verbal skills."

"If Zane's on that island, we'll find him. We have to."
