⚠️EXTREME GORE⚠️
It was dark out when Sensei Wu had heard a knock on the monastery's door. "Who could that be? It's far too late to be the mail." Wu had opened the door to find a small basket covered in a blanket with a note on it. Wu took the note and read it aloud. "Train her well?" He uncovered the basket to find a baby girl staring back at him. She reached her chubby arms out to him. He sensed a great but dangerous power from this child.
"Brother, Who was it?" Wu picked up the baby and held her in his arms, showing her to Garmadon. "Someone has left a child at the monastery's doorstep."
"A child?" Garmadon looked at the baby. "She seems familiar..."
"Do we know anyone who was expecting lately?"
"Wasn't the master of Insanity expecting?"
"Yes, she was. But why send the child here? Why not send her to a family member?"
"The Master of Insanity has no family, expect her brother. But he's only 15 far too young to be caring for the child. I suppose we could do what the note said."
"Brother, you can't be serious! The baby has the power of insanity, she can't control it!"
"Which is why me must teach her."
"But-" Wu shushed his brother with a gentle smile on his face. He then brought the child inside.
(Five Years Later)
"Excuse me Sir, can you watch my student for a moment while I head towards the bathroom?" Wu had just bought Lydia some ice cream at a local village as a reward for completing her training without a fuss.
"Of course, take your time!" The old man running the ice cream cart smiled gently at Wu as he thanked him before heading off. Little did he know this would be his biggest mistake ever...
The old man smiled at the young girl enjoying her ice cream. That was before two older boys came along and tried to snatch it from her. The second after one of the boys snatched it, she began to scream... Everyone outside could feel the affects of her terrible power. Slowly one by one bodies began to fall around her, blood covered the streets turning it a crimson color. What the child didn't understand was that her power was so overwhelming that it caused others to kill the selves when exposed to her intense emotions.
Lucky for him, Wu had walked out of the bathroom just as she had finished crying. He saw the massacre of the town and he immediately dropped all his groceries in shock. He saw the child sitting in the middle of it, surrounded by all the blood. He felt true terror, she was just a child... how could she have done this...? He began to walk towards her, she seemed just as terrified as him. Just then a bunch of villagers came out of their houses. When they say their family, friends, and lovers on the ground, unmoving they immediately began to blame the child as she was covered in their blood. They chased Wu and the young girl out of the village.
(Later, at the monastery)
Wu ran inside the monastery, still holding the small child covered in blood. Just then his brother rounded the corner. "Ah brother! How was the trip-" Garmadon immediately stopped in his tracks seeing the two. Wu fell to his knees clutching the child, he was clearly traumatized from what he had witnessed, while the child was just peacefully asleep, not knowing the damage she had done, not knowing the lives she had ruined. Garmadon got his brother some tea as Wu began to explain all that had happened...
Garmadon was silent for a moment. "I told you this would happen..." He snatched the child from Wu much to his dismay. "We did things your way. It's time we do it my way now!"
"Brother, please! She's just a child, she knows not of what she did!"
"It doesn't matter! She is a danger to everyone, I won't let this monster harm you or anybody else!"
Wu being too weak to move after the events let his brother go off with the child. Perhaps it was for the best...
(10 years later)
The girl was chained to the wall in an underground cave, she was filthy. Garmadon belived that keeping her away from society and chaining her up in vengestone was the best course of action. She was barely fed as Garmadon was no longer around and Wu had no idea where she was or so she thought...She feasted on the rats in the cave. Garmadon has kept her location a secret from his brother from fear Wu would feel sympathy and release her. It wasn't until her fifteenth birthday that she finally saw daylight again...
"Please, this way." It was Wu's voice... she perked up at the kind tone of him, who was he talking to? And how did he find her after all these years? It didn't matter...she finally had a chance to be free!
They pushed the rock blocking the cave out of the way, causing the light to leak in. She immediately shielded her eyes at the brightness, she had been so adjusted to the dark. When she looked back she saw a man she didn't recognize, he had black hair, a goatee and very noticeable bags under his eyes. His eyes immediately softened when he saw the poor fragile girl in front of him. He slowly walked towards her as Wu stood at the entrance, not being able to look at her in shame. She flinched as the stranger stepped towards her, causing the stranger to put on a kind smile and slowly kneel down to her level.
"Hello, Lydia..." She looked confused. Who was Lydia? Was that her name? She didn't know but it felt right. When she looked into his eyes she immediately felt calm, she wanted to speak but her throat was so dry and the man seemed to notice this. "I'm your uncle. And I'm here to take you home." He began to uncuff her but she immediately started to panic, she didn't want to hurt the nice man but before she could react he saw the panic in her eyes and immediately responded. "It's alright...You're power doesn't affect me." She was relived at this statement. She tried to stand but she immediately collapsed, she hadn't walked in ten years... The kind man carried her out of the cave, with no resistance from Lydia. She nearly cried when she saw the Sun and the beautiful trees, she had forgotten what the outside world had looked like. But never again...She was safe now....
