Mike's POV
I sit up in bed, stretching my body, a yawn slipping out of my mouth. The soft sound of my girlfriend's, Alysha, snoring vibrating through the room. I'm lucky to have her, but there was always one person in my life, that knew me inside and out, all my flaws and obsessions, but not one single time criticized me about them.
Cesar Antonio Perry Soto, was his name, or Tony Perry for short. Yes I have a girlfriend now, yes I also had a boyfriend in high school: it's called bisexual, people. When I was in high school, I was the total player with the ladies: different girl on my arm every week. But by Monday morning, they were just a good fuck, and then it was on to the next one. That all changed when I met Tony.
As cliché as it is, Tony was my shy, quiet boyfriend, or my turtle, as I would call him. When he finally let me into his peaceful, comfort zone, he was more open and exotic then what I thought he was. Of course, me being the complete and utter badass between the two of us, I would always end up in the principal's office, or in the nurse's office. But no matter what I did, say, or even thought, Tony never left me, he promised to never.
Even if I get hit by a car, I will always be with you, as he would put it. On one hand, we could touch the sky, and no one or anything could stop us from being together. On the other, all good must come to an end. It was the day Tony decided to give me all of him, physically wise. He had never been with a guy, or a girl at that matter, but when he whispered in my ear, his soft voice giving me the honor to be the person to have his virginity, was one of the best days of my life.
I guess our relationship was too good and magnificent, due to the rumors that surfaced, causing the demise of us being together forever. The rumor was of Tony not really losing his virginity to me, but to one of the most disgusting, filthy sluts in our high school: Britney Tyler. When I heard about the rumor, I payed no mind to it, knowing Tony could never lie; he was just too innocent to do such a thing. Now me on the other hand, was a whole other story, that we don't need to talk about just yet.
I knew Britney and Tony had always been close in elementary and middle school, considering the fact they basically liked the same things, but when they started talking like they did in middle school before, right after the rumor was spread, and him being way too distant, I cut it off. 3 and 1/2 years wasted on a no good douche bag. But he wasn't a no good douche bag: he was my shy little turtle, and I was his badass giraffe.
I chuckle at the nicknames we have each other as a couple, reminiscing over the good moments of our relationship. I feel the bed move, looking over to see Alysha waking up. She looks towards me, a smile growing upon her lips.
"Good morning." I greet, my voice husky with sleep. "How'd you sleep?"
"Good." Alysha answers, her body moving closer to mine, laying her head on my chest, her small fingers tracing the tattoos on my arms. "What about you?"
"Good." I reply, the good thoughts of Tony surfacing in my mind, my fingers running through her strawberry blonde hair. "You want me to make breakfast?"
"But we have to go grocery shopping first." Alysha explains, looking me in the eye.
"Well, we should start getting dressed, right?" I chuckle, Alysha agreeing.
We move away from each other, me going to my closet, her going to hers. I pick out my black, red, and white basketball jersey shirt, putting on a pair of black skinny jeans as well. I finish it off with a black beanie and my all black vans. I meet Alysha downstairs, wearing skinny black jeans, her red toms, and a black tank top.
"You ready?" We say at the same time, both of us chuckling.
We both nod our heads, heading out to the car, me driving and Alysha taking shotgun. We get there in no time, considering the supermarket is like a 10 to 15 minute drive from the house. We get out, heading into the market. I grab the shopping cart, Alysha and I strolling through the market.
"I'm gonna go get some meat, you go get any snacks and beers." Alysha orders, before walking away.
I walk into one of the snack aisles, only 2 people being in here. I pay no mind to it, picking up a few bags of chips. I reach out to take the last pack of Oreo cookies, but a smaller hand reaches for the same pack. I look up to see a girl, maybe 15 or so, short straight, dark brown hair, chocolate brown eyes, a tan to her skin, freckles sprinkled all over her face. She gives me a hard glare, chewing her gum, not removing her hand, both our hands still upon the cookie pack.
"Give me the cookies." She says in such a rude voice, I almost replied back just as rude. "Come on, how old are you, 46? Give me the damn cookies already."
"Excuse you? Where is your mother? How old are you? " I try my best to keep calm, since I am talking to someone's rude and disrespectful child.
"Baby, what's going on here?" A angelic, sweet and delicate voice comes down from heaven, my eyes falling on to the one person I would always think about, but thought I would never see again.
"T-Tony, is that you?"
