You were currently lying on the couch in Taylor's home studio while she was working on some songs for her knew album. Your stomach had been bothering you since you had woken up this morning so you were trying to stay close to your girlfriend for comfort without bothering her too much.
After about ten minutes it started hurting so badly that you had ended up curling into a ball. Taylor turns around and instantly feels concern when she sees your position. "What's wrong, babe? Is your stomach still bothering you?"
"Yeah," you groaned.
"Do you want me to get you some medicine, or tea?"
"No, I'm fine." You barely manage to finish that sentence when your overcome with the feeling of nausea. You make a mad dash for the closest bathroom barely making it in time before you're kneeling down and letting up everything in your stomach. Taylor gets behind you and gathers your hair into a ponytail while rubbing your back to try and provide some sort of comfort until you're finished.
"I'm sorry," you said weakly.
"No need for apologies sweetheart," she said gently pulling you into her lap and wrapping her arms around you. "Do you feel any better?"
"No," you admitted. As you stood up to wash your face and brush your teeth.
"Why don't we go lay down," Taylor said. She slowly guides you up towards your shared bedroom. Once you lie down your sweet girlfriend gets on the other side of the bed laying down next to you. She takes one of your hands in hers while gently moving some hair out of your face.
"Maybe it's the stomach flu?"
"Maybe," you reply. But it was hard to focus on what she was saying because the pain was continuing to get more intense. Taylor noticed this and seemed to grow even more concerned. You tried to distract yourself by placing your head on her chest which she responded to by rubbing your back and kissing your forehead grimacing at the warmth you radiated.
You both laid in bed for an hour you tried your hardest to try and get some sleep but the pain in your stomach made it impossible. Taylor had gotten you a cool washcloth to try and bring down your fever but you really didn't think it was helping. Every time you winced or groaned in pain it broke her heart. Your girlfriend decided to take matters into her own hands when you couldn't even keep down the water she had gotten you.
"What are you doing?" You noticed her grabbing your cellphones and her car keys.
"I'm taking you to the hospital."
"Why?"
"Because you're not feeling any better love, this is obviously something serious."
"I'm fine Taylor."
"You're not. Do you want me to carry you or do you think you can walk?"
"I can walk."
When you stand you nearly double over in pain and you don't know if you can take this anymore.
The car ride to the hospital feels like an eternity. Every bump is pure agony and by the time Taylor pulls up to the emergency entrance you're sobbing, trying your hardest not to completely scream out in pain.
"Baby we're here." She walked over to your side of the car opening the door. "It's going to be okay darling, just put most of your weight on me." Taylor ends up practically carrying you in through the emergency entrance, and walks up to the front desk.
"My girlfriends stomach hurts a lot. She hasn't been able to keep anything down. I think she may have appendicitis." She says now almost in tears herself. The nurse remains calm, and asks Taylor to fill out a form. Your girlfriend leads you to the waiting area, where you sit down. Taylor is constantly looking over at you as you've been in tears for a while now.
"Tay, my stomach hurts so bad."
"I know sweet girl, try to focus on your breathing," she said rubbing your back.
By the time Taylor is finished filling out the paper work the nurse calls you to a bed and begins taking your vitals. "How are you feeling?" She asks holding your hand.
She looks so stressed right now. The same women who gets on stage and performs in front of thousands of people without batting an eye.
"I'm okay. It hurts a lot, but I'm okay. I am glad we came here."
Taylor searches your face almost like she was trying to see if you were really okay or not when the doctor comes into the room. This makes you nervous because you realize you must be a priority case. From there it's determined that your appendix most definitely needs to come out.
"I know you're nervous for surgery sweetie but you're going to feel so much better afterwards," she said.
"I'm sorry I interrupted your writing time. I know you've been really busy working on this album."
"Babe it doesn't matter what I'm working on you come first, always." Taylor said kissing your forehead. She made sure to look you in the eyes so you'd know she was being genuine.
You couldn't help but smile despite the pain you were in, "okay, but what about the press they'll have a field day once they find out Taylor swift's girlfriend was in the hospital," you asked anxiously.
"You let me worry about that darling, I just want you to focus on getting through this surgery and feeling better," she said gently.
Soon enough they're wheeling you back for surgery and you're being put under anesthesia. You wake up to the feeling of your hand in someone else's which you realize is none other than your sweet girlfriend's. You're so happy to see her even if you're a little out of it.
"Hi sweetheart, you're awake? How do you feel? Are you in any pain?" Taylor asks.
"A little sore from the surgery, but much better overall."
"Good, they wanna keep you overnight, but you'll be able to go home tomorrow. I'll be here to take care of you and get you whatever you need the whole time."
"I love you."
"I love you to."
