Daughter reader! Age: 14
You danced along as you watched your mom perform happily backstage watching her do what she loved. After a while you started to feel tired on your feet and decided to go take a break by finding a place to sit. While walking away you unfortunately slipped on the floor that had just been cleaned.
You landed on your arm and ribs, a cracking sound was unfortunately heard. It was a split second before you felt blinding pain.
Tears were in your eyes, everyone who was backstage crowded around you. People were yelling to call Taylor while someone else was saying they'd call 911. "No, please don't tell my mom! Let her finish the show."
"Y/N She needs to know you have to be taken to the hospital."
"She's on her last song, I'll be fine. Please just let her finish."
There was a back and forth between everyone surrounding you. Taylor was one of the kindest people she was extremely laid back but not when it came to you. If it concerned her daughter she didn't play. However they seemed to huff and sigh but agree bracing themselves to incur the mama bear rath. They helped you up and led you to the dressing you where you laid on the couch with some ice.
It wasn't long before the last show ended and you heard your mom's concerned voice coming toward you along with footsteps running. "Oh my God! Honey, are you okay? You broke a rib? Look at your arm. Why didn't you tell me?"
"I didn't want to stop your show mom, I'm fine."
"You're way more important than a concert, darling. Obviously you're not fine, I need to get you to the hospital," she picked you up and brought you to the car through the back entrance of the venue and you were driven off to the emergency room.
.
You arrived home a few hours later your arm was luckily just bruised but the doctor put it in an air cast to rest for a few days. However as suspected you broke a rib and your sternum had been wrapped tightly and painfully in gauze along with a prescription for ice and some heavy painkillers. Your mom helped you change into a pair of pajamas and gave you your medication before changing into her own and laying down next to you. You wonder if she'd even realized she was still in her stage clothes from tonight.
You buried your face in her neck crying at how each movement only made the pain worse, "oh baby. I'm so sorry," she rubbed your back with one hand while gently holding the ice pack to your ribs with the other.
You were in a lot of pain which made you extra clingy. "It's okay sweetheart. I'm not going anywhere I'm right here," she sighed feeling helpless. Taylor wanted nothing more than to take her babies pain away there's truly nothing worse to her than seeing you suffer. Tomorrow she planned to have a talk with her team about making sure the venues were safe not just for you but for them, and her fans as well.
She watched your eyes slowly close as your breathing returned to normal. She was planning to stay by your side until you felt better, even if it meant letting you lay on top of her all night she didn't care.
Taylor would do anything for her baby girl.
