-Linda-
-The Next Days-
We're all out on the porch while I'm sitting on Carol's lap with her arms wrapped around me then we see father Massey walk out of the house with the doll.
The house is blessed he tells sister Charlotte while she closes her eyes and sighs in relief.
"Whatever evil was here is no longer." He say, "B-but, t-the d-doll." I say with everyone looking at me.
"It was the conduit for the evil he tells us, that evil has moved on." He continues.
"Now the doll is just a doll, so, which one of you girls gets this?" He questions smiling holding up the doll.
We all look at it scared while I move into Carol's side a little more, "I think they're all okay father." sister Charlotte tells him.
"Okay, here you go sir." He tells the officer handing him the doll, the cop grabs it from him so we all get up and follow the cop to the back of the police car.
He sets the doll in and moves back so we all walk up to it looking at it, we all grab the door to the trunk and slam it shut.
"Okay girls, let's go." sister Charlotte tells us, the girls walk to the bus while I walk onto the porch and walk up to the chair that Carol and I were sitting on grabbing Janice's doll Rebecca that she gave me.
I turn around and walk off the porch and past sister Charlotte, I get onto the bus and walk to the back where Janice, Amy and I sat when we were first came to the house.
I sit down next to the window looking out with the bus moving, we go past the cross that's in the middle of the field.
I feel someone sit next to me but I don't look away from the window, "How are you holding up?" Sister Charlotte ask me.
I turn my head to the right looking at her with tears in my eyes "I'm o-okay." I replied then look down at Rebecca.
"You know, that wasn't Janice back there, that was... Something else." She tells me with a tear going down my left cheek.
I look back at her, "I k-know." I say so she wraps her arm around me pulling me close to her while I look down at Rebecca playing with her hair then look outside the window.
"Well, there goes my only best friend and my first crush and now we are on our way to a new orphanage." I say to myself.
(As you know, this is the final face of Linda before she died after her grow up.)
