Sooyoung groaned as he sat on a bench behind the school, holding his cigarette and taking a long,  drawn out puff from it as he leaned back against the wall the bench was against. He looked up at the sky, silently watching as the clouds passed by while he finished his cigarette.

He was wearing a pair of black joggers, as well as a plain white t-shirt with it,  with his black hoodie tied around his waist. He rested for a few more moments before he heard the bell ring. He put his pack of cigarettes in his bag, dousing himself in a nice smelling cologne to partly mask the scent of the cigarette smoke.

He then headed towards the front of the building, glancing at the people who were piling up into the school to start the day before he brought himself inside as well, walking over to his locker, opening it up. He took the pack of cigarettes out of his bag, glancing around to make sure no one was watching as he put them into his hiding spot in his locker where he stashed them to make it through the day.

~~~
Jimin groaned as his alarm rang. He lazily looked for his phone to push the snooze button, but groaned even more as he noticed the time. "Shit..." he mumbled and groggily got up to get ready for school. He hated being late, but the morning after a long soccer practice and a hard workout was always tough.
Once he was ready, he grabbed his backpack and gym bag before heading out to his car to make his way to school. He parked in the back as always and sighed as he noticed a guy spraying himself with cologne.
Jimin didn't know him too well, but he did hear about this guy getting into trouble often. As he stepped out of the car, he could faintly smell the scent of cigarette smoke still lingering. "Of course..." he mumbled as he grabbed his bags and made his way into the school.
As he made his way to his locker, he saw the same guy again and watched as he looked around to make sure no one was watching. He scoffed, looking away before the other noticed. Once at his  locker, Jimin shoved his bag in there and  made his way to class.
Sooyoung heard a scoff nearby, turning his head towards the direction it came from. He noticed a smaller guy, who he knew as Park Jimin, blinking his eyes a few times. He cleared his throat before he grabbed the stuff he needed for class out of his locker. "I hope he didn't see that..." He muttered to himself.
Sooyoung then took a deep breath, closing his locker. He glanced at his watch, looking at the time. "I need a drink.." He said, opening his locker again and grabbing his water bottle before he walked over to the nearest water fountain, filling it up and hearing the bell again, which told him he was late. He rolled his eyes. "Guess I better get to class." He said to himself before heading towards his class.
He walked in and instantly heard the teacher clear her throat, turning his head and looking at her.
"Sooyoung, you're late. Again. What's your excuse this time?" She asked.
Sooyoung scoffed. "Be lucky I even show up. This class sucks." He responded, though he actually quite enjoyed science class.. which was this class. But he wasn't going to admit it to everyone.
He lifted his water bottle to her. "I was filling my water bottle."
She rolled her eyes, and pointed. "Just go sit down." She said. Sooyoung shrugged before he walked over to his seat, sitting down and taking a drink of his water before setting his notebook on his desk and pulling out his pen.
~~~

Jimin walked into his classroom right as the bell rang, bowing his head slightly to the teacher before making his way to his seat. He was getting his things out on his desk when the teacher cleared her throat. He looked up, and to no surprise it was the kid he had seen twice this morning already. As they talked, Jimin rolled his eyes at Sooyoung's excuse.

Jimin didn't know him very well on account of him never speaking to anyone... but one thing he did know along with most of the other students was that he was trouble. Although he wasn't the only one to smoke, he sure was the boldest, and was also known to get into fights often.

Jimin was a very social and popular guy around school, and although he liked to interact with everyone, Sooyoung was one of the few people Jimin did not want to be affiliated with.

Sooyoung noticed that the short boy in front rolled his eyes, and lifted his eyebrow for a moment. "Got a problem, shorty?" He asked, chuckling slightly before he looked up at the board. He tapped his pen on the desk, as well as tapped his foot on the floor as he listened to the teacher explain their lesson for the day.

He let out a soft hum, looking down at his notebook as he wrote down the notes that were related to the topic, and what the teacher was saying, silently reading them to himself with an almost unnoticeable grin on his lips.

Sooyoung quickly reached into his bag, pulling out a mint before popping it into his mouth.. the taste of the cigarette was definitely not very appetizing.

He then listened as the teacher started explaining the project they were going to start today. He tilted his head and raised his hand. "Can I do this project by myself?" He asked, and when she said no, he let out an annoyed groan. He hated working on projects with other people... he felt like he did way better if he just did it by himself.

Jimin ignored Sooyoung, not being bothered by his comment. He looked over at his friend, rolling his eyes once more and sharing his annoyance. His full attention went back to the front as the teacher began to explain the project she had planned. He immediately looked over towards his friend, nodding, and making sure they were both okay with being partners. He had no problem working with anyone else, except Sooyoung. But it had never happened, so he was confident that this time would be no different.
