Chapter 16

Everyone is seated on their place and their eyes are on Ajay except Vansh. He has something to announce and all are waiting eagerly for this but seems like he's taking his own sweet time.

Ajay: my friend come business partner Suresh wants to throw a grand party to celebrate the come back of his son. We're invited there and we're going.

He announced looking at everyone. Riddhima who is not at all comfortable in gathering thinks to bunk it.

Riddhima: uncle actually I don't.....

Ajay cuts her off before she could complete the sentence.

Ajay: if you're thinking that you can bunk the party then it's a big no. Because you're also coming with us.

It leaves no room for argument. Soon the dinner finished with silence only the sound of cutlery can be heard.

Vansh is walking in the garden when he felt something under his foot. He bends down to see that thing properly and it's a little glass bottle which is empty. Vansh opens it's cap and smells it. It contains some liquids though he can't recognize it properly but he is having a doubt. So he comes to the kitchen by holding that bottle. There he sees milk on the stove but which caught his eyes is few drops of liquid fallen on the stove. He quickly smells and it's the same liquid which was in the bottle.

He ponder over this matter that what is this liquid and why it is on the stove? But is not getting any answers and his doubt is only increasing that it might be some poison. Then he sees Riddhima with a milk glass from which she's about to take a sip. He immediately merch towards her and snatch the glass from her hand before she could drink it. Riddhima looks at that person who snatch the glass suddenly and seeing Vansh makes her angry.

Riddhima: Mr Rai Singhania I Know that you want something from me but for a second can you let me live in peace.

She angrily says this to Vansh and tries to take that glass back from his hand.

Vansh: no I won't give it back to you.

He says calmly trying not to be angry.

Riddhima: why??

Vansh: because there is poison in this milk.

Riddhima: what rubbish!! I myself filled this glass.

She says being shocked. She can't believe it.

Vansh: but it's poisonous.

Riddhima: then prove it.

Riddhima is not ready to accept it that this milk contains poison. Vansh also wants to be sure but how. Then he sees a plant in a nearby pot and an idea clicks in his mind.

Vansh: you need proof, no? Then come.

He says this to Riddhima and goes near the plant. Riddhima also comes behind him. Vansh pours the milk on that plant and in few minutes the plant turned into blue proving Vansh's doubt right. Riddhima can't believe that milk was actually containing poison. So she once looking at Vansh and next second looking at the plant.

Vansh: see...I told you.

Riddhima is still standing with wide eyes as she's seeing something like this for the first time. She could have died if Vansh wouldn't come in right time.  But Vansh isn't at all shocked because this isn't anything new for him. This types of murderer attempt usually happens in their home as they belongs to the mafia family. But he's really enjoying Riddhima's condition though she's really scared.
