To whom it may concern, i regret to inform you at 2:48pm this afternoon, Elizabeth Granville passed away after a very agressive battle with TB. She is survived by her husband, her three daughters and two sons. Emily (24), Allysa (24) and Amelia Granville (21) and her elder sons Timothy and Edward Granville both at the lovely age of 34.

"The whole ton will be devistated by the loss. Those poor girls, to be without a mother to guide them!" Violet said to Daphne, Eloise and Penelope as they read the newspaper.

"Apparantly, according to the maids, she lived with her father for the first part of her life. Moved only to live with her mother once she turned of age. Her father is the man Benedict has the odd drink with at balls." Eloise said as she slumped down.

"I didn't know they had a third daughter. They kept her in the shadows" Anthony announced as he joined the group.

"She's the youngest daughter of five, only just turned 21! Mama says she is less fortunate in her looks than her two elder sisters" Penelope told them with a shy tone.

"I see. Well with her mama now gone i'm sure she will be thrusted onto the first gentlemen who shall take her. The upcoming season will tell!"

Dearest reader! Hello again. Did you miss me? As the new season begins, i am left to wonder, as are we all, as to who our next Diamond shall be. There are ,of course, high hopes for cressida cowper who enters her third season at the age of 3 and 20. Theres the dashingly, corageous Eliza Ascot or even the newest discovary yet to be revealed to us all, Amelia Granville. This season is set to be the most exciting yet and i shall be with you every...step...of the way.

"Everything she writes is utter nonsense. Me be the diamond of the season when i have never even been out into society. The Queen will not choose an invisible fith child to be the diamond. This Whistledown is almost as thick as the ink she writes with" Amelia threw the paper into the fire.
