I let go of Zee's hand slowly. I didn't dare to look up at him, unsure of what to say or explain my action away.

Just then, someone knocked on the door. Both Zee and I snapped back to reality and Zee told them to come in. I looked up to see Nat smiling at us with Nunew.

"Hey you better now?"

"Yes P. Manager Kunn dressed my wound for me. Sorry i couldn't do the last bit. P Zee, thank you for filling for me na."

I just watched as Zee smiled, asking him to take care and not to worry. Zee grabbed his bag and said he had to go off for a dinner with his family. Both boys nodded their heads and they took off to also go home. I turned to my things, started packing up slowly and turned around only to see Zee still waiting there.

"Hey, you didn't leave yet?"

"Was waiting for you. Did you forget that my mum wanted to see you too?"

"No i remembered. I just thought since u wanted to rush off, I was to meet you there directly."

"You don't have a ride Max. I will wait for you. Shall we?"

I nodded. We both left and got into his car. As we settled into the ride, I looked over at Zee.

"Zee. About earlier.."

"Hmm?"

"The kiss.."

"It's.. its ok. I mean we are friends. A kiss doesn't mean anything."

"Oh."

I looked at Zee who just gripped the steering wheel and pretended to be focused on driving. I said pretending because his ears were a solid red and he kept darting his gaze. But I also knew he didn't want to talk about it anymore so I decided to let it go. I stared out the window glumly.

I knew it. We could never be anything more than friends. We always been such thick tight friends, I never knew when my feelings for him started shifting. And it was never played up until he got paired with Nunew. Seeing him be Nunew's partner, seeing the chemistry between them on set, hearing all of rumors surrounding them because of the series, the fan service, it made me so badly want to be in Nunew's shoes.

But we are friends. Like he said, a kiss doesn't mean anything. I was so consumed by my thoughts. I didn't realize we had reached and that Zee had been calling out to me for a while.

'Max!"

Zee shook me hard and I turned to him.

'Sorry, yes?"

"Dude. We reached. Are you ok? I have been calling you for a while now. You didn't respond at all."

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to. I just.. nothing let's go."

We both climbed out and I walked off, knowing Zee was watching me intently.  I turned to smile at Zee assuringly, promising him I was ok. He finally smiled at me and just slung his hand around me. It was a good dinner with my parents and after that, Zee told them to go home whilst he offered to send me home. I rejected but he didn't take no for an answer.

Just as we reached my place, Nunew called him. I heard as Zee spoke sweetly to him and hung up.

"Everything ok?"

"Yea. It is. Nunew needed a ride to set tomorrow so he was asking me for it."

"I see, okays. Thanks for today. I see you on Thursday?"

"You got no scenes tomorrow?"

I shook my head no. "Then, I should be done by 7. Dinner together?"

"Did you forget? You got that meeting with your manager and P Aof tomorrow at 8."

"Ughhh I forgot! Thank you for reminding me. What will I do without you?"

I just smiled as I bade him goodbye and got out of the car, wondering too what will I do if I didn't have Zee in my life. I couldn't help but always want to keep him in my life.

If it meant that I could only be a friend to him, I take it.
