Last Dance With You

Chapter 17

Leni woke up early in the morning to prepare a breakfast. They don't have any plans for the day so it was a possibility that her children will stay in the house for the whole day.

While she cooks their breakfast, she suddenly felt someone's hugging her from behind, "ahmm good morning" she said.

"Good morning, I missed seeing you like this" Bongbong said.

Leni did not respond, she only gave him a smile. "You want coffee?"

"I want dessert" then Bongbong rub his hardness to her bottom. "Tumigil ka nga. Inaaraw araw mo ako ah"

"Sinusulit ko lang" he said.

"Bitawan mo na ako love at baka bumaba na ang mga bata. Malamang masakit ang ulo ng mga yun" she said then Bongbong gave her a kiss on her cheek then he let go.

Leni continue to prepare for their breakfast while Bong's drinking his coffee and reading a newspaper.

After a while, they heard footsteps coming down, "ahhh ang sakit ng ulo ko" Yannie said then she sit on their chair. Jajah and William went down also but they go straight to the living room to sit on their couch.

Leni gave Yannie a cold water, "sabi kasi sainyo pwede uminom huwag sosobra. Where's Abby?"

Then they heard Abby coming down, "ma, pahingi po cold water" she said and sit beside Bongbong. "Daddy, lumilindol ba kagabi?" Abby said then Leni and Bongbong looks at each other, Bongbong can see how terrified is Leni.

"Ahh why did you asked?" Bongbong asked.

William step inside the kitchen to get a glass of water in the fridge then Abby said "Magalaw po yung bed kagabi" they were startled when they heard a glass shattered even Jajah run to check what happened.

"Sorry, nadulas lang po sa kamay ko" William said. Yannie helped William to clean up the broken glasses. "Kumain na kayo" Leni said then Jajah sit with them in the dining table.

Bongbong's in the middle of the table just like before, Leni's in his right side with Abby and Jajah while Yannie and William sit on the left side.

"I swear akala ko lumilindol talaga kagabi" Abby said.

Bongbong smirked and Leni gave him a sharp looked, "anak you are so drunk last night" Leni said.

Leni served Bongbong, she subconsciously put food on his plate that made their children stunned. "Lovey, pahingi akong bacon" Leni did so.

"You want pancakes love?" She asked.

Their children's jaw literally dropped. William cover his face in frustration, then finally Leni and Bongbong noticed the silence. They looked at them and they both knew that their children were about to ask a lot of questions.

"Ahm what's happening?" Yannie asked.

"Nothing is happening Yannie" Leni answered.

"You just called daddy, love. I mean we are used to hear daddy calling you lovey but this is the first time, after the divorce that you called him love" Abby said.

Leni's starting to get irritated, "don't overthink everything Abby. Let's just eat breakfast" but no one is moving or saying anything.

"Ma, you are raising your voice" Yannie pointed out.

"Because!—" Leni stop herself from screaming when she saw her children startled to her sudden outburst. "Leni..." Bongbong whispered.

"I said eat your breakfast" she said softly but sharply. The children did not say anything but they can all feel the awkward and painful silence that is lingering in their morning.

"I just cannot understand ate why does she have to screamed at us like that" Abby said while arranging her clothes in her bedroom. "I don't understand also" Yannie answered while she's scrolling through her news feed.

"If I didn't know better, I'll say we hit a nerve kanina. Baka may tinatago sila saatin kaya ganun nalang mag react si mama" Abby continued to rant.

"Don't you think na if may something sakanila ulit hindi nila gugustuhing sabihin saatin? Alam naman nilang hindi tayo kokontra diba?"

Abby shrugged then sit on the bed with Yannie, "I want mama and dad to be together again. Siguro kung mag kakabalikan sila hindi ko na kailangan pumunta ng US. Sino ba namang gusto mag isa diba?" Abby said in her sad voice. Yannie put down her phone then hugged her little sister.

Little did they know, Leni can hear them outside their bedroom. She was heartbroken to hear her daughter said those thing. The children all suffered because of the annulment, that was not a new information to her and Bong but she did not thought of the aftermath of the annulment.

She wanted to hug her children and tell them how sorry she is for the nth time. She wiped tears then went to her bedroom.

"Lovey..." she immediately composed herself when she heard Bongbong spoke. "Yes? Do you need something?" She asked.

Bongbong closed the door, went behind her and then wrapped his arms around her, "what's going on?" He whispered.

"I don't want to hurt them again Bong" she replied, leaning her head to his chest. "That's impossible lovey, we are humans, we are designed to make mistakes. It's inevitable"

"They suffered so much." She said more to herself. Bongbong just rested his head on her neck while they slowly sway together.
