"Come on, come on! Work goddamnit!" Sam shouted in frustration as he slapped the side of the control panel.

He walked away from the console and placed a hand on his forehead. He took a few deep breaths as he paced around the room, trying to wrack his brain around his current predicament. He had been tinkering with the metallic joints of the animatronics so that they would be able to dance around the stage as they performed and walk around the establishment to interact with the kids and even participate in games, but no matter how much effort he put into making that happen, he couldn't get the joints to move fluently. A thought in the back of his mind told him that this is a bit overkill for the project, but Sam wanted to make something innovative and ground-breaking. He wanted to stand out from Chuck E Cheese and make animatronics that were more advanced than anything that they could put together.

"Maybe I'm putting too much into the first edition" Sam contemplated as he studied the animatronics, posing on the makeshift stage, "Maybe I can continue to add to the designs after the business actually opens. All I need is unique characteristics and abilities that these animatronics can have in order for them to stand out and then as the business progresses, I can add the innovative features".

Sam was not one to give up when it came to his unique and wonderful ideas. When he planned something, he would put all his time and effort into making it a reality and this project was no exception. He would put everything he had into this project to make it something of legend. This ambition is what kept him going all these years and what will keep him going throughout this project. He will see this through until the very end, no matter the cost. No matter what he dedicates himself to, Sam will stop at nothing to fulfill his desire, to carry out his plan, no matter who or what got in his way.

Creak! Sam spun around, startled by the sudden noise. He watched as Zack strolled on in and approached. Sam couldn't help but feel irritated at Zack for barging in and interrupting his thoughts.

Zack marvelled wide-eyed at the two, life-sized endoskeletons standing in their performance poses on Sam's makeshift stage "My oh my, those are some of the coolest looking robots I've ever seen" Zack stated as he approached Sam.

Sam frowned "What are you doing here, Zack?" he questioned, "I told everyone here to not barge into my workspace while I'm developing the big project".

"I do genuinely apologise boss, but I wanted to come in because no one ever sees you again. Some of the guys have forgotten what you look like because you've been gone so long".

"Your point is?" Sam was growing more frustrated and impatient.

Zack sighed, "My point is, is that I'm worried about you. As your friend and right-hand man, I'm worried that all this isolation that you're subjecting yourself too is not healthy for you".

Sam continued to grow more agitated at Zack's comment, "I'm fine, Zack. I can handle myself in these conditions. Besides this project is more important than anything at the moment. This could be the life changer for everything. Not just for me and Caleb, but this whole business itself".

Zack frowned, "I understand your vision, Sam, but you've been isolating yourself from your friends and your family. You work to 11 at night and get back at 5 in the morning. You ignore calls from your friends and only visit your brother once a month when you used to catch up every day. Can't you see, Sam? You're drowning yourself in this work and drowning out those around you. It's not healthy".

Sam thought about this for a moment. Zack was right. He had been sacrificing his personal life to put in the extra work in order to get this project done. He barely has time to look after his kids and be there for his family. Even his best friend and brother, he barely had time for and would only see to give status reports on his progress. He no longer was there to talk with his life-long friends because he was so invested in his work. His social life was severely diminished since he had dedicated himself to this dream. But what choice did he have? If this project was to get done in due time, then he had to do everything he could. He had to put his all and more into this dream no matter the cost. No matter how it affects his personal life, this was more important than anything in the world. This was his top priority and it had to be done as quickly as he could make it. He had no time for his friends and family, and sure it taxes him to know just how upset and concerned for him they must be, but his determination was everything. You had to apply himself as much as possible to create the best quality robots he could muster.
