Gotham 20 years ago

Pamela and Harley had been walking home after going on a... special date. While walking past one of the alley ways in the narrows, they heard crying. Normally neither of the girls would think twice about this, crying wasn't a new thing in the Narrows. It isn't the crime hub of Gotham City for no reason. "Red... Do you hear that?" Both girls had paused their walking and were glancing in the alley way with curiosity. "Harls, I think there is a baby in the alley." Harley gasped, "Who would leave their baby in the Narrows Red?" Pamela did not have an answer for her unfortunately, it was becoming more and more normal to find children abandoned in the Narrows. "I think we should check and make sure Harls, What if it's hurt?" While both girls were known as villains, they weren't completely heartless or cruel, especially when it came to kids or babies. Harley has wanted children ever since she could remember, unfortunately when she was with the Joker he was very careful and never wanted children. He eventually drugged her one night and had a doctor perform a hysterectomy. It broke Harley's heart when she realized what happened, this was one of the main reasons she finally left the Joker. Pamela on the other hand, was never able to have children. She was infertile and barren, she realized that the chemical that had given her her powers had taken away her one dream. While she loves her powers and loves her plants, she has always wanted family, the feeling of belonging. When the two girls eventually reached the sound they had been hearing, they were deep into the alley way. "Red, there's a baby and the other looks to be maybe a 2 or 3 year old in a box... what're we gonna do?" Laying in bundles of blankets of all different colors sat a baby who looked to be maybe 3 months old, and a toddler who was maybe 2 or 3. One with light honey brown hair barely starting to sprout on her head and the other with darker brown to black hair at about shoulder length. The two children were holding hands, the brunette baby was crying and the black haired toddler was laying calmly. Almost as if trying to calm their sibling down. When the brunette baby spots the two women she immediately quiets down and gazes at them curiously, both women were frozen in time. Who could do this? Who would just leave their beautiful babies in the alley way? "Harley... I think they need us." Pamela looks down a little bit at Harley to see that she was crying, "They are beautiful Pams, but do we have the time and space for babies? I think it might just break my heart if we don't take them with us. At least for the night doncha think?" The hopeful look in Harley's eyes broke Pamela's worry. She knew right then and there that these two children were going to come home with them, and if she were being honest with herself she wasn't mad at the prospect. "Harley, I think we are going to need a bigger place to stay." She told her, while smiling at the two little girls looking at them like they had hung the stars and the moon. Almost as if the children realized as well that the women were there to save them, that they wouldn't be in pain anymore. And this was the day that Venus and Juniper Isley were adopted and taken in by 2 out of 3 of the Gotham Sirens, changing and saving their lives forever.

Jason Todd had no idea at all what he wanted to do with his life, but at the moment the only thing that mattered to him was meeting his mom in Bosnia. He didn't tell Bruce where he was going, if needed he would figure it out himself. He is known as the worlds greatest detective after all. As he walked through security the only thing going through his head was that this was it, he would finally be meeting the woman who gave birth to him. Of course he did still count Catherine as his mother for all intents and purposes, but she was just a cover, he never realized it before but Catherine was never his mom. Just the lady that his mother had given him to for protection. Looking around his surroundings at the address he was given he realized how quiet everything seemed to become, where were all the people? Internally panicking, he continued walking through the door, and that's when his life ended. But maybe, it had only just begun. Dying and then being resurrected was obviously not in Jason's plan for his life. But when kids start to go missing in the Bowery, his plans fly out the window when a small 5'4 woman races into his life and turns it upside down.
