Lilliana's POV
6 months has passed since I last saw Geralt
I missed him greatly, and the first month after he left was unbearable, life seemed very lonely and dull, even though I still had Luc who was very offended that Geralt left when he wasn't home to say goodbye, his feelings were valid.
Nothing much has changed except for the fact that I was visiting the village more frequently.
Weird, I know.
I hated spending time there, only went for the early market to get essentials and to avoid the crowds mostly
I've made quite the friends in the village, who would have thought.Melissa, the florist
She has some exotic plants, and so she provides me with a great deal of essential needs,
she got very sick one day, and didn't show up at the market.
So I asked around and found her house, apparently she lives alone, her husband left her for another woman 4 years ago, She had no one to take care of her, so I made her some medicine and chicken soup and kept visiting her for 4 days until she felt better and regained her health back,
Ever since then, we've been great friends.Andrew, The baker guy
He works in his father baker shop, I don't go in the bakery at all, I make my own bread,
I don't ever need to go there,
But one day Melissa was gossiping about literally everyone, like always.
And she was talking about the poor baker guy taking care of their bakery and taking care of his parents since they've fallen extremely sick lately, and the only healer here left the village about 2 months ago,
I asked if she had any idea of the symptoms they were experiencing and to me -not really a surprise- she knew and told me everything she had on the matter,
The next day I visited the bakery and ordered some butter bread, and he looked worn off
I felt bad for him, so while he wrapped it for me I smiled at him giving him his coin
he got a little flustered for some reason but smiled back nonetheless.
he took his coin then noticed a little bag I put on the counter
"This is for your parents, give them one dose every night for a week, they should be fine after"
"what ? miss I- thank you" he stuttered and I smiled back at him
"how did you know that my parents were sick" he asked
"a little birdie told me" I chuckled and waved at him.
I went on my way back in the woods and ever since then, he would stalk me at the early market, sometimes he has bread, sometimes cakes, and I tried to brush him off, tell him that it's okay and all of that was unnecessary, but he stuck around, and eventually we became friends I guess.
Although he was a bit protective over me which was very weird, really. Then there was Orla, The lovely innkeeper.
I gave her some medicine for her little boy once and ever since she was very nice and lovely to me.
I kept myself busy somewhere between;
My house (cooking, baking, painting, knitting, looking after my little garden, etc...)
The woods (finding different plants and having little picnics near the pond, playing with Luc)
The Village (getting some essentials, spending time with mostly Melissa, and Helping people)I didn't want to feel the hollow feeling of being lonely that followed Geralt's leaving.
Today was a long day, I helped Melissa organize her plants and flowers, Then I delivered some medicine for Orla as her husband fell sick after he came back from his travels, he is a merchant.
Then I asked the carpenter to fix my chair, the one that Luc so stubbornly broke last night,
The baker boy insisted on carrying it home with me since I already had a bag full of plants and food.I don't fancy people accompanying me home, Especially Villagers.
No one really knew where I lived, that's how casual my friendship were with these people.
And probably how fragile it was.
