Chapter 2 - Tough Times 

Cloud is in class, battle study, as always Cloud has that feeling of someone watching him. This feeling has been with him since middle school, ever since he realized that he has feelings for Squall. It does hurt when he decided to avoid the brunet, that and he doesn't know if Squall is gay or not, so he made this decision. Today he's doing his notes when a piece of paper is place on his desk Cloud looked around the classroom to see who gave him this paper, he finally opens the paper. 

Cloud, meet me after school. This is really important. - Zell 

Cloud: Zell is one of Squall's friends, why does he want to meet with me? Should I go? Maybe it's a trap, Seifer did that to me once. Sigh might as well go, it will be very interesting. 

It's lunch time and as always Cloud avoids Squall again, and is now eating lunch with his friends. 

Jazz: Um isn't Zell like, Squall's extrovert friend, why does he want to meet you of all people? 

Cloud: Not sure myself, it might be a trap by Seifer. He did it before so I'll be not surprise about it if it was. 

Prompto: Um sorry to ask, but whose Zell? 

Jazz: He's a really good martial artist in this school. Wanna-be Mike Tyson ya know hehe. 

Sasuke: Do you want to get thrown into the snack bar again? 

Jazz just stayed quiet after that. Three more classes and Cloud was done with classes for the day. The blonde went to the front of the gate, not sure where to meet the guy.

Cloud: He didn't tell me where to meet him on the paper. This just might be a joke why did I-?! Wait is that him coming right now? 

Zell has short, spiky hair and blue eyes. He has a tattoo on his left side of his face, the blonde is running toward Cloud. Once over to the taller blonde, he breaths heavily, once his caught his breathe. 

Zell: So, you're Cloud Constantine, right? 

Cloud: I am, what did you want to talk about? 

Zell: Well, I want to know....phew, why are you avoiding Squall? 

Cloud tensed up a little when he asked the question. Zell doesn't need to know why, he doesn't need to know anything, but...... 

Cloud:...........Promise me you don't tell anyone, got it? 

Zell nodded with enthusiasm, Cloud takes a deep breath. 

Cloud: The reason I'm avoiding Squall.......is because I don't want him to know that I......I feelings for him. Since middle school, I noticed that my feelings toward Squall started to change from friends and something else. I don't want him to know, because I don't want to ruin the friendship we have. 

Zell was shocked, he already know about Squall, but he didn't think that Cloud liked the brunet since middle school. 

Zell: Wow, that's crazy man......but don't you think that avoiding him all this time is ruining the friendship you have with him right now? 

Oh my gods, Zell was right, Cloud never realized it until someone just threw it in his face. He RUINED THE FRIENDSHIP!!! 

Cloud: I-I need to go, I'm sorry. 

The blonde runs away to his home, up to his room, and cries. He didn't want to ruin the friendship he had, so he decided to keep his distance, but he never thought about the prospect of ruining the friendship by doing so. Phone calls and knocks on the door, he didn't get them he just stayed in bed and sulked. That is until his father burst open the door, picked up Cloud, and brought him downstairs to try to talk to Cloud. It's not working, unfortunately, so he brought Cloud to the hospital. He was settled to the hospital room to get treated. Ever since the incident with Larxene, Cloud becomes extremely depressed and does not eat nor sleep at all. The incident, you see, John Constantine had eight wive and eight children, one being Cloud's mother Claudia Strife. Larxene is one of the wives that gave birth to Seifer, she despised her step children and the other wives, this rubbed off on Seifer growing up making him think that he was better than the others. Cloud has these senses that something bad is going to happen and was going to tell his family, but he was too late. Larxene murdered all but one wife, Naomi, she then tried to kill the others, but was apprehended by the cops. Cloud felt like it was his fault of his mothers death and became depressed and very suicidal, John had to take Cloud to the hospital that day to stop the blonde from ending his life. The blonde does go to therapy for three years to help out. Cloud is in his hospital room still crying.
