Part 23

Next day Changbin and his friends were having lunch at the school cafeteria, discussing their plans for the week. As they were chatting, Hyunjin approached their table with his food and asked if he could join them.

"Of course, you don't have to ask," Jisung replied with a smile. "We're always happy to have you around."

Changbin and Chan nodded in agreement, welcoming Hyunjin to their table. As he sat down, Hyunjin expressed his gratitude.

"I don't have many friends, and it's hard to find comfortable company during lunch," Hyunjin admitted.

Chan chuckled and said, "You know that you're popular, right?"

Hyunjin rolled his eyes and replied, "I meant people that I'm actually comfortable with."

Jisung laughed and said, "Are we comfortable company for you? We are just a bunch of weirdos."

Chan added, " Speak for yourself."

Changbin said, "Yeah, I'm pretty cool."

Hyunjin smiled and said, "You guys are the best. Thanks for accepting me."

Jisung joked: Just don't steal our food and we will be good.

They all laughed and continued their lunch.

Changbin was enjoying his lunch and conversation when his gaze unconsciously landed on Felix. He looked as handsome as ever, and Changbin couldn't help but think that maybe Felix's boyfriend wasn't so unlucky to have him. Sure, Felix had a difficult personality - he wasn't an easy person to get along with, nor was he particularly caring or warm-hearted. But there was something ethereal about him, and his freckles were so beautiful. Maybe it was worth the trouble after all.

Changbin came back to their table conversation when Jisung brought up a question: "Hyunjin, I heard that you dance. Is that true?"

Changbin was surprised, "Really?"

Hyunjin responded modestly, "I've taken some dance classes, but I wouldn't call myself a dancer."

Changbin jumped in, "That's awesome! Would we be able to watch you perform somewhere?"

Hyunjin blushed, "Actually, we're preparing for a Christmas concert in three weeks. You guys should come."

Changbin chimed in, "That sounds great. We'll definitely be there."

Jisung and Chan exchanged a knowing look.

Felix, Minho, Seungmin and Jeongin were eating when Felix dropped the big news. "Yesterday, I had dinner with Mark and he asked me to be his boyfriend again and I said Yes," Felix announced, unable to contain his excitement. Congratulations and hugs followed from his friends.

Jeongin couldn't help but tease Felix, "Are you happy? You finally got the man of your dreams!"

"Of course I am! He is my type for 100%, I wish I could marry him," Felix replied dreamily.

Minho chimed in with a joke, "my little baby is all grown up now!"

Seungmin asked the practical question, "Do you have any plans?"

Felix replied, "Not yet. He's pretty busy, but we'll definitely spend some time together on the weekend."

Minho then asked the awkward question, "Did you guys already sleep together?"

Felix was taken aback, "What are you talking about? We've only had two dates. He's my future husband, I can't sleep with him so fast."

Seungmin joked, "Wow, Felix, you're going to be celibate until marriage? That's impressive."

Felix laughed and said, "Maybe not celibate, but I need to make him wait a little, keep him on his toes."

Minho said, "That's a good strategy, keep him interested."

Felix smiled and said, "Exactly. I know what to do."

Felix's gaze drifted towards Changbin's table where he was sitting with his friends and Hyunjin. While Felix was in a normal relationship with him and they occasionally chatted during dance classes, but now he was annoyed that Hyunjin seemed to be paying attention to Changbin. He didn't want Changbin for himself, but he thought that Hyunjin could do better and leave Changbin alone. After all, Changbin is not from his league.
