What do you use with your coffee? Milk, sugar, both?"
Tessa watched Harry as he poured freshly made coffee in to two cups. He brought them over to the table and put one in front of the girl, got milk out of the fridge and raised one of his eyebrows a bit, waiting for her to answer. He was still only on his boxers and to be honest, it was distracting the girl.
"Only milk, thanks", she muttered. Harry smiled slightly and gave her the milk.
"I don't bite you know."
"I wish you did", she though to herself and immediately blushed. No, this was not the time for this. Tessa looked up a bit, only to meet those beautiful green eyes, making her go a bit weak on the knees again. Thank god she was sitting. She blushed a little bit more and lowered her gaze back to her cup.
"Yeah, I know. Thanks for um.. taking care of us I guess. I'm not really much of a drinker", Tessa said with a louder voice, trying to seem more thankful. She really was but the situation made her feel awkward but she knew she'd have to try a bit harder, or at least answer in longer sentences. She knew how to mess things up and be beyond awkward but she had learnt her manners.
Harry poured milk into his own coffee and chuckled. He sat down opposite the girl who looked up at him again.
"What's so funny?" She asked, not really seeing the funny part in the situation.
"You're a fan, aren't you? So, you must know a lot about me. And after spending the night at my home - not like that, don't worry - you have a great chance to make a lot of money", Harry explained, giving the girl yet another one of his charming smiles. He seemed to smile a lot.
Tessa furrower her eyebrows. "I'm not like that."
"I believe you. But why on earth are you so.. well, seem so anxious?" He asked. "Shouldn't you be happy or something, I mean, you had fun yesterday didn't you? And I guess the coffee I made you isn't that bad either."
"I'm sorry, I just - the coffee is amazing, thank you", Tessa sighed, blushing a bit more once again. He was right - if anyone should be worried, it should be him and he seemed to be cool with it, so why couldn't she?
"Thanks again for everything, but I'll have to go now.. um, it was nice meeting you", Tessa said as she quickly emptied the last drops of the drink, walked over to the sink to put away her cup and grabbed her bag. She wasn't lying when she said the coffee was amazing, she wished she could've stayed a bit longer to drink more but she knew she couldn't and even if she could.. she shouldn't. It was definitely not a good idea.
"Can I at least have your number? I'd like to get to know you better", Harry asked her and stood up as well, trying to some how stop the Finn leaving yet. He felt this weird attraction towards the girl and he wanted to know he had at least tried his best even if things didn't turn out well or nothing would even happen. He wasn't one to leave things half way done.
Tessa stopped on the spot, feeling her eyes widen. Was this a joke or something? If it was, it wasn't that funny. She looked at Harry, and sighed. Could it do any harm? Nope. She nodded, and took the phone he was now holding out. She quickly wrote down her number and handed the phone back. She asked directions back to where they were yesterday, she was still not too familiar with the areas of London. Harry asked her politely, if she needed a lift but gave her the directions when she told him she'd take the underground. As she was leaving, Harry kissed her cheek as a goodbye.
"I'm fucked", she thought as she stepped outside the big house and started making her way to meet Marlene.
....
"Tessa, over here!"
A few seconds after looking around the small cafe to find the source of the voice, Tessa noticed Marlene sitting on a corner table far in the back. She sat opposite Marlene, apologizing for being a bit late. She missed the first tube back home so she had to sit around for thank god only five minutes.
