t was Wednesday and Tessa was walking down the stairs out of the block of houses their flat was, about to go and quickly do some shopping in their local market, as she felt her phone buzz in her pocket. She dug it out, struggling a little as she was wearing jeans for the first time in ages.
Harry:
Coming tonight?
Tessa smiled at her phone. She quickly answered and soon her phone buzzed again, but this time it was a call.
"Hello?" She answered, not bothering to check out the caller's ID, knowing there weren't too many people who would call her.
"Hey! I decided to call you instead of texting, too lazy to do that now. You know, you've met them before, you can still come. They honestly won't mind, it's not like this is a family reunion or something - to be honest, they wouldn't mind even if it was", she heard Harry telling her. Tessa sighed feeling a bit nervous already.
Harry had invited her to go and stay over at his place after the Brits that were tonight. It was only a few days before the boys would leave on their eight months long tour, so she really wanted to spend time with Harry as much as she could. But she couldn't deny the fact that she felt a bit anxious, knowing Gemma and Anne would be there too. They had only met once before, about a week ago. They got along well, she was worrying for nothing, she knew that.. it was just something she did too often, wanting Harry's loved ones to really like her.
"I - uhm, yeah, I'll be there. I just walked in to the shop, me and Marlene are gonna watch you on TV", Tessa said, smiling as she finished her sentence. They had a great night planned as they were seeing their boyfriends on TV for the first time. Well, as their boyfriends at least.
"Great! Louis and I'll come and pick you and Marlene up after the award show, Louis said he'd drive us back at mine. See you later, babe!" He told her and ended the call.
Tessa smiled, she loved it when he called her babe. She hated those kind of pet names in Finnish but in English she liked the way they sounded. Putting her phone away she started making her way to the sweets and on the way, she picked up cucumbers and baby carrots, some dip and nutella. She took those sour sweets, that were shaped a bit like a worm. They were her favourite and Marlene liked them too, not being a big fan of sweets or chocolate. This evening was going to involve some serious eating, that she could promise.
......
"I SEE THEM!"
The two girls were basically jumping up and down from excitement as they saw One Direction appear on the red carpet
"God they look good!" Marlene sighed. She took a baby carrot and dipped it into the dip mix they made earlier that evening. Tessa finished chewing the sour worm on her mouth and swallowed it before answering.
"Couldn't agree more."
They joked around, ate and enjoyed the award show. When it was the boys turn to perform, both of them felt so proud it was hard to put it into words. The boys had come so far from where they had started. No matter who they were dating with, they were still fans. Sure, they knew how to act calm around them by now and the serious fangirling part had subsided but still - they were fans and always would be. By the time they got their award for 'Global Succes', both of them were in tears.
After a while the award show had ended, they found themselves crying and laughing on the floor. Childish, some may say. Or maybe just too much sugar, too little sleep. They knew their sense of humor wasn't that mature but it didn't really matter, they had fun and it had been too long since they had last spent time together. Marlene's phone started ringing and she tried her best to calm down, not so succesfully.
