Loid
Luckily, I was able to find a wife with such late notice.
This is how the conversation between Frankie and I went at my place last Friday prior to me finding a wife.
Frankie angrily chugs down his coffee. "I can't believe you cockblocked me. I could be on the a date right now." He is so hyperfixed on finding a girlfriend.
"My condolences," I reply with a straight face.
"I don't need your pity." He wipes his mouth. "I just wish you could understand how important it is for me to find someone special. I don't want to be lonely anymore, you know?"
"Maybe the right person hasn't coming around for you, yet?"
Frankie sighs and leans back in his chair, contemplating your words. "Maybe you're right," he says after a moment. "I just feel like I've been alone for so long, and I don't want to keep waiting for something that may never come."
We were both exhausted from looking through the stack of files to find my potential wife.
Frankly, I didn't need a wife. But the mission required me to do so. I mean, I knew that becoming a spy would come with unconventional assignments but this one takes the cake.
Frankie and I've have been looking a potential candidates for the position for the past three hours. We're looking for the perfect target. Clean background. Decent looking. And of course, ready for marriage.
He hands me the next file. "I think I found the perfect person for you."
I take the file and start reading through it. As I skim through the details, I realize that the woman in the file seems too good to be true. "Are you sure about this, Frankie?" I ask skeptically.
"Absolutely," he replies confidently. "I did my research, and she ticks all the boxes. You won't find anyone better than her."
I can't help but feel uneasy about the whole situation, but I trust Frankie's judgment. After all, he's been my partner in crime for years, and I know he wouldn't steer me wrong.
"Okay, let's do it," I say finally, closing the file.

A couple days later...
"I do," she say, slipping the ring on my finger.
The wedding adminster looks at me. "And do you, Loid Forger, take Yor Briar to be your lawfully wedded wife, to live together in matrimony, to love her, comfort her, honor and keep her, in sickness and in health, in sorrow and in joy, to have and to hold, from this day forward, as long as you both shall live?"
I take a deep breath, looking into Yor's eyes as I respond, "I do."
As I slip the ring on Yor's finger, Frankie begins tearing up. In all honesty, I didn't want to invite Frankie but a witness was required to make the cermony legitmate. And Frankie volunteered so I guess I make best with what I got.
This was the most casual wedding ever. No suit. No wedding dress. Just us in our regular every day clothes in a court house.
The wedding adminster continues. "By the authority vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife!"
I wish I could wipe Frankie's huge stupid grin off his face. Frankie isn't the only one happy that I got married. Handler would also be ecstatic to hear that the misson was coming alone once Frankie report it back to her.
