As Raven wakes up every morning like she always do welcomed the morning light in as she woke up starting her Monday as always. After a refreshing shower and finding some decent clothes, she finds her things but most importantly coffee (large caramel cappuccino with espresso) breakfast on the brain for fuel. Working for the Times as an editor, is one of the most crucial, tiring, adrenaline, intensive job ever but hey it pays the bills. Greeted by everyone, she makes her way to her desk ready to begin the dreadful assignments that lay ahead. Answering emails, phone calls and correspondence it seems like a never ending cycle.
"Hey Raven girl happy Monday. How was your weekend?" Marissa asked Raven as she came by her cubicle. Marissa Antoine, Raven best friend and colleague since high school always manages to have the happiest disposition on Mondays as oppose to Raven who craves the weekend.
"Hey girl my weekend was not long enough wanted another day but it was lit always how was yours?"
"Girl mines was amazing as always."
Raven and Marissa chatty as always tends to make work bearable but pleasurable to say the least but Raven knowing her readers like something juicy like her beautiful mind working she begins typing an article of her own.
Her boss, Christian Davenport always have an eye for Raven but seeing as though he don't take the hint that Raven isn't into guys but into the ever so distracting females, Raven tends to be a bit more less aggressive towards Christian. Christian comes by her cubicle giving her the idea she's been waiting for: interviews. Going out into the field, getting information instead of online is like icing on the cake. Raven biggest thing was doing an interview as thoughts ran thru her mind she was wondering what type of interview she would be doing and with who?
Finishing up her editorials bringing it to Christian's office for proofreading and final draft glancing over the work confidently knowing she got this in the bag. Christian glancing over paperwork frustrated as always he can be sometimes throwing some stuff out because it was basically crap. Christian and Raven always had that professional colleague to colleague relationship which Raven like didn't have a problem with. Just a cute lil crush on Raven was the thing that she thought it was just a phase but Christian bypass that.
Knocking on the door before coming in Raven sat in the chair before Christian can say anything, he finalize her editorial with the green light before giving her the news she was anxious to hear.
"Raven Raven, so before we go into the details of your first interview and who is it which I can say this is HUGE like I can't even begin to describe."
"Well I'm definitely up for the challenge so lay it on me."
"For your interview, you will be interviewing the most successful businessman in all of New Orleans. I mean he's the top marketing CEO Diesel Jameson."
When she heard that name, eyes widen with surprise as in the most famous Diesel Jameson. Raven was lost for words as to idea of interviewing not only successful but did I mention sexy af! "Um wow this is definitely huge. Like damn this is huge." Raven gathered her composure as to begin her project. Leaving Christian office, she walked to her desk as she started her research in looking up the sexiest female on God's green earth.
Since it won't start in a few days, she figured she would get as much info as she can. As her stomach talking to her lunch is on the brain wondering her taste buds is giving her. Trying to figure out what she wants, she goes with the chicken caesar salad with caesar dressing and a bottle of water. While eating, Marissa joins her per usual getting her turkey club sandwich and ice tea lemonade mix drink and talking about the juiciest gossip.
"Girl you will never believe who I'll be interviewing: Diesel Jameson."
"Wait hold up wait a min as in the most successful bachelor business man Diesel Jameson lawd that man his gorgeous for no reason like damn this is huge for you girl congrats."
"I know right and you will get all the juicy details once the interview is over."
"I'm so jealous of you girl can I sit in you know listen and observe?"
"Ha bestie but no I got this girl."
"Damn ok but let me know how it goes girl."
