"Where are you taking me? And how do you know me?" I demand in a sharp whisper.
"I'll tell you when we get there, now shut up."
"Get where?"
"To Theo"
"What?" I almost raise my voice but decide against it.
"You know where he is!?" I say instead, I can't keep the excitement from showing in my voice, or the dread. Of course. What if he hates me? We might never be friends again.
At least I came back for him. Will that be enough? I hope it is.
"Why didn't you tell me!" I scream
"I could have seen him sooner"
With out warning I kick him in shin. Hard.
Surprisingly he didn't loosen his grip on my arms.
"Try that again and I'll take you back too, them" He spits out the last word as if he can't stand it being in his mouth anymore.
"Why haven't you already?" I press.
"I'll tell you when I'm ready."
"Fine" I pout like a little kid who isn't aloud sweets.
"Good" he seems relived to not have to argue with me. I'm glad we don't talk for the rest of the journey to Theo. Mainly around little back corridors and through empty rooms.I wouldn't know what to say. It's confusing to talk to someone about you when you don't know what they already know.
