I sit, curled up in a ball next to Theo, even though he can't hear or see me, listening to Trigg explain how he knows me. By the end of his story and my never-ending confused questions I swear my brain can't handle anymore shock. I just can't get my head round it. Trigg's known me all my life, every last detail of it. He lived across from my house, just 1 year ago before he left for a different sector, to get away from the boring life. Seeking adventure, without realising that he would be joining an evil army of OCD Maniacs trying to make everyone perfect. He played along with it, not wanting to get in trouble with the government. But he made a pledge only last week, if the army ever caught someone again and brought them here, he would release them again because he believes everyone has the right to be whoever they want. The last bit got me. It made me trust him entirely. Just nine words was all it took to convince me to help Trigg and I Think he wants to help me too. Good.
I need a friend right about now.
