Cycling down the garden, you breathed in fresh air that was roaming everywhere.

After you reach your daily spot, where you rest for five minutes and cycle back to your apartment to get ready for work.

"Does she come here daily..? "

"Yes yes.. I have seen her.. "

Your eyes widen when you heard someone talking. You looked around but there was no one.
You narrowed your brows and then looked everywhere, near the bush and everything.. But you found no one.

When you stood up, suddenly a squirrel ran from between your legs and you were shocked that you fell down on the ground.

"Ugh.. " You groaned and stood up again.

"I think I am day dreaming.. " You said and cycled back up to your apartment.

After getting ready and having breakfast, you drove to your work as you do every morning.

While you were waiting for the traffic light to turn green, you heard someone cry for help.

"HELP, PLEASE SOMEONE SAVE ME.. "

You came out of your car and ran to the voice, but there was no one. It was voice of a woman and you were panting. You looked here and there to find some one or something, but no clues.

"HELP PLEASE... AHHH" You heard it again and it was from your left.

You ran to the shaddy area and saw no one there, but a cat was being attacked by several dogs..?

You raised your one brow and thought to help her, even though you were confused.

You drove those street dogs away and picked up that little cat in your arms. It was dirty. You took out a handkerchief from your pocket and slowly and gently, dusted it.

"Thank you for saving me.. " The cat said.

"Your welcome.. " You replied casually and continued dusting.

Wait..
What... ?
A cat..?
Thanked you..?

Your eyes widen and you dropped the cat, who landed on the ground safely and ran away from you. Your were froze there.
What the hell..?
How can a cat talk..?
You might be day dreaming again..

You massaged your temple and came back to where you parked your car, and drove to your work.

You were now working on your laptop, but your mind was still playing the incident of  the cat. Then you remembered the early morning, when you heard someone talking about you.. But there was no one, but a squirrel..?

You shook your head and threw those thoughts out of your brain and sighed.

"Are you well.. ? " Someone said from your behind.

You turn around to see your boss standing with two files in his hands.

"No sir,.. I mean yes sir.. I am okay.. " You said and he nodded.

"Your face looks pale, you can go for today.. I don't want my employees to go down.. " He said and you sighed before nodding.

After packing up your things and getting into your car, you were driving again. But not to your apartment, but to a doctor.

There was a huge line, waiting to go in.

While your were sitting, waiting for your turn to come, your eyes landed on a Dog, who was sitting like a gentleman outside a hotel.

Your smiled at how obedient he was looking.

The door man opened the door of hotel and a beautiful lady came out of it.

"Have a great day lady.. " The Door man said and closed the door behind her.

"Come back again.. " The dog said and the lady walked past by it. Your eyes widen when you heard the dog say. Your rubbed your eyes and then ran out to the dog who was standing obediently. When you stood in front of him, he was wagging his tail like a cute child and was looking at you with those shining eyes.

"You... You talk..? " You stammered as you just stood there, looking down at the dog.

The dog titled his head and looked at you in confusion.

"What else mouth is for..? " The dog replied and your eyes widen like they will bulge out of your sockets.
You slowly sat down and touched the dog on his head, a gentle pat.

Yeah, it was a real dog.
Not a fake one.

"Can you say something for me again..? " You asked again.

"What do you want me to say..? Whatever I say, you won't understand it right.. " The dog replied.

"I am understanding it.. " You said and looked at the dog with a shocked face. The dog was shocked too.

"Hey, Mr. doorMan.. " You said to the guy, who was standing near the door. He looked at you.

"Did you hear what the dog said just now..? " You asked and the Door man was shocked.

"Yes, he barked right now.. " The doorman said and you smiled awkwardly before looking back at the dog.

"Hey um.. What is your name..? " You asked.

"Barley.. " He said and now you were sure that you are listening to a dog talk while others don't.

"Barley.. " The door man replied, thinking that you would want to know and how can someone understand a dog's bark.

You nodded at the Doorman and he continued his duty again.

"Why can I understand what you are talking to..? " You said, slightly whining.. "I think I am Ill.. " You put your hands on your forehead checking for temperature.

"But you are listening to me.. " The dog said with wide eyes too..

"Yes.. " You whined again.

"I think the Humans made another invention.. " The Dog scoffed.

"Huh..? " You asked.

"Aren't you experimented..? " The dog asked and you moved your head as a no.

"I thought you are.. See here.. Almost everything is Humans new invention and daily some things new.. These people. " The dog sighed and you looked at him.

"What these people..? " You asked and he looked at you.

"Humans.. They are so funny.. I mean look at them, they are just ruining everything for their so called development, which is ruining them from inside too.. " He said.

"Tell me more.. " You said and The dog continued.
