Anytime Itachi woke up in the middle of the night, he always go to check on Sasuke. He wouldn't be able to go back to sleep if he didnt know that he was okay
He also does this when he comes home late and Sasuke is already asleep. Just knowing that Sasuke was okay and alive made him feel more relaxed
