"What do you do when you become too scared, too scared to live, too scared to die, too scared to love, too scared even to care?"

~ Unknown

Some people never share their worries their entire lives. Even with their families. Like saying it's too hard or that it hurts too much. They never say such things and keep everything bottled up.
Perhaps until the day they die. They build their own cabins inside their hearts and never leave that cabin all their lives. Even when they feel lonely, they never admit it. Actually, they'd rather dwell in their loneliness. They like it more than their own families.

But why do people become like this? Why don't they open up at least once in a while?

These people understand others, so well that they don't want to burden them. People around them will tell them to open up, but they choose not to, for they understand that others have their own pain and torment. They get so used to staying in that cabin, that eventually their own pain fades. But at times it might become too hard for them. At such times, they find people and communicate with them. Not about their own worries of course, but instead, other people's worries. A habit of not tending to one's own emotional needs begins.

Sometimes these people do not understand others or they don't know how to comfort others, and they might find it hard to open up because of that.  The warmth of the cabin is too hard to leave, and they like being alone but they don't feel lonely. When things get hard for them, they prefer to run away from the situation. They might as well make up some random excuse to make the people around them go away. Running away from tough situations, helps them to feel at peace even though there are consequences to it.

Each person in this world is absolutely unique. No one is alike yet at the same time we all are the same. We all have a cabin, and we all have different kinds of experiences with life. But staying in the cabin for too long is not good. So at times, take care of yourself, try not to run away and get out of the cabin, even if it's just for a minute.
