I was getting ready to head over to Nexus high with Aria and Alessandro. I was excited to see her...and Sandro of course. Who am I kidding? Everyone's noticed. I like Aria. I've liked her since I saw her. When I saw her, long hair cascading down her back past her waist, her beautiful eyes that held a great pain to them, yet they glimmered with kindness, her hourglass figure that was brought out in the dress she was wearing and the way she spoke. Her voice was like honey. She was sweet, she sounded almost medicinal. Like she could heal people with just her voice. She was kind too. The way she cared for her family and others. I saw her help Alexei when she was bleeding despite the fact she had no idea who Alexei was. She wasn't weak either. She stood up to Viktor well and defended herself. Even though I had to step in, I'm pretty sure she could have handled it herself. Speaking of Viktor, he pissed me off. He was already Don of the Russian mafia, but he was controlled by his father for the most part. Everyone knew. He treats women as if they second class and are only good enough if they are pretty. No one, no matter their gender deserves to be treated as if they are worthless. When mi fiore (my flower) passed out in my arms, I didn't know what to do. I was worried when she couldn't breath and when she fell unconscious I think my concern sky rocketed. I texted her the next day and asked if she was ok and she said she was fine. Over the past couple of weeks, we've been texting each other and sending each other memes and flirting a little (mostly me flirting though). Dad told me about how the Russians had threatened her and I felt my blood boil. They threatened her and demanded she married Viktor. Arranged marriages weren't common in the mafia anymore. In fact they we pretty much erradicated and I hated how they tried to trick her, but my smart fiore knew her rights and told them where to go. I still wondered about her adoptive parents. "Good morning cousin, you excited to see the beautiful Aria at school?" Adrian asked coming into my bedroom. I rolled my eyes. Adrian had been teasing me endlessly over my new found crush on Aria, especially as we've been texting for weeks. "Callate (shut up) Adri," I said shoving him. "Tell that to your blushing face, you'll need to get that under control before you see Ari." he said smugly. I threw a pillow at him and he chuckled before leaving.
