(a/n: ayyyy, another update!!! Why didn't I update before, you ask? The reason is simple! I have 0 time management skills. Also, I've been pretty busy applying for college... on the bright side, I got a 92% in my board exams!)

Lan Jingyi sulked in the corner, sure that the System hated him. Shizui placed a hand on his shoulder comfortingly. Not knowing what else to do, he glanced at his seniors for help but found that they were paying attention to something much more interesting. He left Jingyi's side to check out the commotion.

"Jin Ling, do you know what's happening here?" Shizui whispered. The other boy spared him a glance before looking back at the scene in front of him.

"The Sect leaders are arguing about what to do with Mo Xuanyu when we get out of here."

"Huh? But I thought we were putting that conversation off till the end of this? It truly doesn't seem fair... Maybe we could change his mind before we do anything drastic?"

Jin Ling snorted in disbelief, pointing at the Sect leaders, "Try telling them that. Besides, Sect Leader Yang and some leaders of the smaller sects demanded they speak of it immediately... JiuJiu and the others are trying to get them to calm down."

Shizui scrunched his eyebrows, frowning slightly as he saw Zewu Jun try to convince some Sect Leaders to calm down to no avail.

Jin Ling sighed, seeing the Lan's stressed look. "It'll be fine! I bet you my entire money pouch that the System will interrupt them in the middle of it!"

Shizui smiles slightly, "I agree with you, but please remember, Lans are not permitted to place or accept bets."

"Jingyi placed a bet with me, though? He said it's fine since you guys aren't at Cloud Recesses right now."
Shizui winced, hoping that none of their seniors heard that. He turned his attention to the Sect Leaders.

"How many times do I have to tell you?! That boy needs to die! I don't care if he hasn't resurrected the Yiling Patriarch yet! We must get rid of the threat before we end up dead!" Sect leader Yang yells as he stamps his feet on the ground, his plump face red with anger.

Zewu Jun attempted to calm him down again, "Please, Sect Leader Yang, that boy made a mistake, yes, but you have seen how he has been treated! Perhaps if we get him out of there, we will be able to prevent this from-"

"A MISTAKE? Do you call something that could potentially result in everyone's death a 'MISTAKE'?!"

A loud laugh boomed throughout the area as Nie Mingjue came to Lan Xichen's rescue. At his brother's request, he reclaimed the title of Sect Leader while they were in the room.
Nie Mingjue scowls at the sect leaders as they look at him in fear.

"All of you shut up! No one wants to hear your voices right now, so why don't you all sit down?! We aren't discussing this right now, got it?"

"Sect Leader Nie, please understand our point of-" The quivering small sect leader withered under Nie Mingjue's glare.
He turned around, looking at everyone else in the room.
"You heard me, didn't you? Back to your goddamn seats, now!"

Everyone got back to their seats. After all, who in their right minds would argue with a dead man? Lan Xichen smiled gratefully at his sworn brother, who nodded in response.

[Section 3 will begin in one minute.]

Lan Shizui sighed thankfully. Perhaps now there will be less drama? He resumed his place to the still-sulking Jingyi.

[Please remember that raising voices at each other can be considered verbal fighting. Please refrain from such acts... as far as possible]

Someone coughed awkwardly in the background.
