Addison's mind was like a black hole, sucking her into her own mind. In her mind she saw her whole world, the entire universe, from a distance. A world that was no longer the place she remembered from her years of life; the one that her and her father had lived in. This world was not the world she had come to know and love. It was a world of shadows and illusions and secrets. It was a world she had to accept whether she wanted to or not.

As she sat there, lost in her own thoughts, she couldn't help but wonder if there was any truth to the rumours about supernaturals roaming the town. She had heard the stories about vampires and witches from Sheila when she was only a young girl, but she had always dismissed the woman's stories as nothing more than tall tales. But now, with the events of last night still fresh in her mind, she couldn't help but wonder if there was more to the supernatural world than she had ever imagined.

She realised that what she needed to do was find answers to her questions about the supernatural world. She considered going to ask Sheila about her thoughts on the matter, but decided that she had recently already been too much of a burden to the older woman. So, Addison spent the rest of her day researching vampires and witches, trying to understand the strange occurrences that had been happening in her town. However, the more she learned, the more confused she became. She couldn't believe that vampires and witches were real, but the evidence was mounting.

The image of Vicki dying last night was stuck in her brain. The girl had grey veins crawling all over her skin like some kind of disease. She just couldn't believe it, I mean she wasn't friends with Vicki but she had known the girl since she was young. There was no way she could be a vampire unless it was extremely recent. Which leads her to Damon Salvatore.

Now that the girl thinks about it, the bite mark she had received from Vicki was scarily similar to the bite mark that Caroline had probably received from Damon. And if Damon was a vampire like Vicki then that meant that his brother, Stefan, was a vampire too.

Addison had so many thoughts going through her mind.

'How long had vampires existed in Mystic Falls?'

'How many vampires were here?'

'Does Elena know about everything?'

'What did Damon try to do to her last night?'

While she was stuck in her own head she hadn't even realised that her eyes had began to lightly glow a majestic green colour. She also hadn't realised that every clock in the house had suddenly stopped working, all of them stuck on the time 10:18. Addison is suddenly pulled from her thoughts when she hears the familiar ringtone coming from her phone.

"Hello?"

"Hey Addy. Are you okay? You left the festival early yesterday, Elena mentioned something about a wild animal." Caroline rushed out, concern clear in her voice.

Due to Caroline's last sentence, Addison mentally ticked off the fact that Elena knew about everything going on in the small town. There was no other reason for her to lie unless she knew something.

"Care, I'm fine. It was just a small bite, nothing to worry about." Addison reassured the girl.

Addison was tempted to ask Caroline if she knew about the supernatural secrets of the town but she had a sneaking suspicion that Elena and the Salvatore's were keeping everything from the blonde girl.

"Are you sure?" Caroline asked, clearly not convinced.

"I'm fine, I swear." Addison told her before catching sight of something in the corner of her eye. It looked like a green floating ball of light. "Look, I've got to go. I'll call you later." Addison quickly hung up and followed after the ball of light that she thought she saw.

There was nothing there.

She sighed before making her way back into her room. She questioned whether or not she actually saw a ball of light or if the lack of sleep last night was getting to her. She had decided it was the latter. She had begun to make her way to her desk when suddenly she was stopped by a burning sensation right where her bite mark was. She hissed in slight pain as she rushed towards her mirror and ripped of the bandage, but what she saw was something she couldn't explain.

Her bite mark was glowing green and somehow magically stitching itself back together. She stared in wonder and awe at her bite mark in the reflection of the mirror. When glowing stopped there was nothing left behind, it was like she was never bitten last night as there was no remnants of a bite mark that could be seen. There wasn't even a scar. She continued to stare open mouthed at her reflection for a few moments, her face the perfect picture of confusion and wonder. There was definitely a bite, she knew that because she had seen it. She knew because she could still remember the pain she felt when Vicki had bit her, she would probably never forget it.

All she knew now was that everything just got even more complicated.
