Dans P.O.V-
"The park? Do you not have to go back to work?" Phil asked me. "I should but I've just decided that I'd much rather go to the park with you. And hey- my shop, my schedule."
"Touché" He responded.
We finished our small lunch quickly. The check came and an argument occurred between us: who would pay.
"No, Dan. I'll pay. It was nice of you to ask me out, it's the least I can do."
"I asked you out to lunch, I'm paying." I rebutted.
"Bottoms can't pay, dearie." He shot back.
My mouth widened with shock as he laid the money on the table. "H-how did you-?"
"Doms instinct." He winked at me. My face heated as I stared at him in astonishment.
"W-Whatever, let's just go." I said, standing up and brushing myself off. Phil laughed and replied, "You're an easy one to fluster, eh?"
Wait..that accent..could it be..."Are you from up North?" I asked.
"Yeah, I'm from Lancashire. Sometimes my accent kinda slips though ehehe-" he cut off awkwardly.
"Good to know." I mumbled before we left.
We walked side by side for a while before I felt Phil delicately place his hand in mine. He gave my hand a quick squeeze as we continued our short walk.
"Hey Phil? Have you ever been to the river in the park?" I asked. "There's a river?!?" He exclaimed in disbelief. "Yeah. I didn't know about it until I went exploring in the park one day and stumbled across it. It's really beautiful..would you like to see it?"
Phil nodded in an excited manner and I giggled in response.
We arrived there shortly, letting go of each other's hand briefly to run over to a play set.
We jumped on the play set and laughed at how ridiculously large we were compared to it.
"Oh my god. We're like colossal titans next to this. I hope some kid screaming "Mikasa!" Doesn't come and kill us!" Phil laughed.
I stopped a moment to look at Phil and to appreciate the fact that if I wouldn't have gotten the reference, I would've thought he was crazy.
"Attack on Titan reference?" I inquired, making sure I was correct.
"You watch anime too?! Oh my- you really are perfect for me." Phil sputtered out. I grinned like a fool as we slid down the too-small slide to escape the small area.
I directed him over towards the vast area of green land that held a bridge that would lead us to the river.
We took this beautiful walk and once we finally arrived at the water- Phil was relived, to say the least.
"Pretty view, long walk. I'm not nearly as used to walking long distances as I should be." Phil admitted.
"Same." I laughed. "Although, I do have a tendency to walk around when I have the urge to. I don't know why but I sometimes have the random spikes of needing nature." I continued.
"That's adorable and a lot better than what I do in my spare time." He said.
"And what might that be?" I winked.
"Oh, shut up!" He nudged me playfully. "You're disgusting, you know that? But no- I actually spend most if my time indoors, playing video games and making the occasional YouTube video." His cheeks turned red as he admitted this.
"Oh, don't tell me you're embarrassed of that! Hell, I would totally do the same if I were you. But I like the outdoors, hence why I run a flower shop. And also running one apparently attracts hot guys so that's a plus." I told him.
"Please tell me I'm the only hot guy you're talking about and I don't have to fight off evil exes or something like Scott Pilgrim." He joked.
"No, nothing of the sort." I laughed.
Great. What a dork. An absolutely adorable, hot dork.
Phil sat down on the grassy bank and I followed in pursuit. I say beside him and I heard Phil tsk.
"What? Do you want me to sit on your lap or something?" I asked. Phil shrugged but gave me a smirk. I sighed as I got up and repositioned myself in his lap. Bloody hell, now this really is like a high school romance.
"I didn't think you'd actually do it." Phil said.
Hopefully that won't be the only thing I'm doing, amiright?
Sorry about that but like, have you seen Phil? How could you not want to fuck him, for fucks sake.
Phil laid his chin on my shoulder, wrapped his arms around my waist, and pulled me closer to him. I gasped in surprise but soon began to get comfortable.
We spent the next hour in this position, not really saying much. I guess we were already comfortable in silence around each other.
"Hey Dan?" Phil whispered, his words sending vibrations that felt like shocks through my body.
"Yeah?" I said, trying to hide the fact that my heart was beating a mile a minute.
"It's getting late, should we head back?"
I stretched and groaned, standing up after I did so. I held my hand out to help him up and he took it gratefully. I dusted myself off once more (hey, I've got pale blue jeans on, dirt shows easily on them) and Phil walked closer to the river, bending down and feeling the water.
"Is it cold?" I asked.
"Why don't you come and find out, babe?"
Despite me internally fangirling, I walked cooly over there and bent down. I pretended to feel the water but surprised Phil by splashing him with the water. He gave me a look of disbelief before giving me a sly smile.
Next thing I knew, my hair was wet and water was running down my face. Yes, Phil had just poured a handful of water on top of me.
"Phil!" I shrieked, laughing as I did so. Oh wait- I immediately stopped laughing. "Shit." I muttered under my breath.
"What?" Phil asked. "My hairs wet." I told him. "So?"
"So- my hobbit hair will-"
"Your hobbit hair?" Phil cut in.
"I've got extremely curly hair and I absolutely hate it." I said.
"I CAN SEE IT!! Oh my, it's so cute!! How could you possible hate that??"
I smiled as our eyes met, our expressions suddenly turning serious.
I searched Phil's face for any sign of..anything. But suddenly, Phil was leaving closer. Time seemed to stop as we inched closer and closer. We didn't dare break eye contact and soon I found that our chest were almost touching as, slowly, our lips molded into our first, and hopefully not last, kiss.
