I sat next to Alucard while Sypha sat with Trevor in front, on the wagon. I had to admit, I was doing pretty well, while sitting next to my crush.
I looked inside my bag to see my pups had too much energy for the late hour of night. I picked them up while they whimpered cutely which caught Alucard’s attention.
THIRD PERSON’S POV
“Hello, my darlings.” (Y/n) greeted making Alucard smile at her. “Why aren’t you asleep? Look, it’s night.” She cooed at them“Where did you find them?” Alucard asks rubbing Snow’s head.
“In the forest. They were lost and I felt compassion for them. So I decided to take them in.” She answered looking at them before looking at him.
“You love animals?” Alucard asks before she nodded innocently.
“But my favourite are lambs, dogs, cats, large cats, bunnies and wolves.” she listed putting the pups in the bag.
“Wolves?” He asked intrigued.
“Yes. I don’t why you are shocked when you are a wolf yourself.” She said shocking him.
“How do you know that?” He asked before she used waterbending to bring snow towards her and turn it into water to store in the small patch of water.
“I come from the future, remember.” She reminded before he mentally face palmed.
They started chatting about anything that came to their minds. Y/n even told Alucard how she is intrigued by his mother who smiled a lot at what she told him.
Once in the forest, the four found a nice clearing to rest for the night and will proceed the next day. While they sat around the fire.
“I’m still not completely clear on why you don’t catch fire in the daylight.” Sypha said sitting next to Trevor while Y/n sat next to Alucard.
“I’m half-human.” He responded while looking at Y/n
“What are you looking at me for?” She asked before she pondered on something. “Imagine if the vampire side did burn, you’ll look so disfigured. I would laugh at you every time, I see you.” She teased before Sypha laughed with her, Trevor rolled his eyes in amusement and Alucard looked at her in amusement.
“Well my mother’s name was Lisa and she was mortal.” Alucard started after they calmed down.
“I would very much like to hear the story of how that happened.” Sypha stated excitedly.
“She actually showed up at his front door. She found the castle and banged on the door with the pommel of her knife.” Alucard continued.
“She sounds interesting.” Sypha said.
“Oh she was.” Y/n added before Trevor looked at her confused.“You know her?” he asked before Y/n made a snowball and threw at his face.
What was that for?” he asks looking at her angrily.“Are you acting stupid? Are you drunk or does your stupidity come naturally because that question is the biggest bull I have ever heard since I got here?” She insulted while Alucard and Sypha looked in amusement."How many times must I remind you that I come from the future?” She continues. Trevor just rolled his eyes. “She wanted to be a doctor and Dracula actually taught her.” Y/n continues looking at her pups.
“Wait, Dracula taught a human woman how to be a doctor? What was first, blood-letting?” Trevor chuckled.
“God, you still think you’re funny.” Alucard and Y/n said in union with the same expression.
“My father-” Alucard then started but was interrupted by Trevor.
“Dracula.”
Y/nrolled her eyes.
“Is a man of science, a philosopher, a scholar and knows things our society have forgotten three times over. Do you not understand the enormity of what we are doing? He’s gone mad. And from that, there is no recovering him.” Alucard explained.
“Shame.” Y/n said sadly.
“It’s a tragedy. He’s a repository of centuries of learning. He could’ve changed the world. I think he might have, if Mother hadn’t died. She sent him out into the world. That’s why he wasn’t there when the bishops took her.” Alucard continued before feeling a hand on his shoulder. He looked to see Y/n with a small smile before he smiled back.
“She sent him away?” Sypha asks.
“She sent him to travel.” KG answered.
“To learn the true state of the world, to learn the true nature of humans and how they live.” Alucard added to Y/n’s answer.
“And it would have worked if the church did not get involved.” Y/n said and crossed her arms over her chest. “Those men give Christians a bad name.” she then mumbled.
“She was turning him.” Sypha concluded.
“Imagine if he had aimed all that knowledge at improving lives. If the religious inquisition hadn’t proven true all of his worst instincts about humans.” Alucard explained.
“I really feel bad for Dracula. I know it sounds strange but he did not deserve such. I guess Lisa saw that all he needed was a little love.” Y/n said looking at the necklace.
“The church killed her and now he's going to use her death as an excuse to destroy the world.” Trevor responded.
“Oh the world will still be here, Belmont.” Alucard started. “The birds will still sing, the trees will still grow and the animals will still jump in the undergrowth but you won’t be here.” Alucard finished before hearing Y/n sigh. She remembered home and stood up before walking around in the forest before he followed.
“Do you know where my mother is now?” He asked causing her to stiffen.
“I was hoping you wouldn’t ask that question but you had to find out anyhow.” Y/n says sadly.
“Where is she?” he asks halting.
“I also don’t know why and I’m trying to figure out why she’s in hell.” Y/n blurted out accidently before she covered her mouth and looked at a shocked Alucard.
“What?” he simply asked.
“I’m sorry, Alucard. I also don’t know why she’s there. I don’t know why the people who created this whole place made her go there but I’ll try to find out.” Y/n explained before hearing him sigh.
“Don’t bother. I shouldn’t have trusted you or the future.” He said coldly before walking back to camp, breaking Y/n heart. She leaned against a tree and silently sobbed facing away from Alucard. Alucard turned to see her crying which broke his heart.
He was also wrong but his pride got the better of him and was about to grab her when he noticed she was holding a picture of her family.
