“Argh, not again, and why so soon?” Sypha groans as they turn to see a horde of night creatures.
“But it's nearly night yet.” Y/n said readying her water.
“They must being controlled.” Alucard said unsheathing his sword.
“That may be a high possibility that it's the work of a forge master.” Trevor concluded readying his whip.
“You are correct, Belmont.” They look to see Melissa walking towards them while the night creatures moved out of the way to let her pass.
“Let’s see how good you are, Avatar.” Melissa said aiming an arrow at Y/n.
“Who are you?” Alucard asked standing next to Y/n protectively.
“My name is Melissa and I was sent for your bender friend.” Melissa answered before slightly hearing a growl come from Alucard’s throat.
“You are not going to lay a finger on her.” Trevor snapped.
“Oh, that’s so sweet and all but I do not fucking care about you.” Melissa said before snapping her fingers and night creatures charged for the others while she ran for Y/n who jumped back and landed on her feet.
Melissa used a water whip and tried hit her only for her to dodge.
'Another waterbender.’ Y/n thought.
“You aren’t so bad.” She praised before making ice spears and shot them at Y/n who took control of them before turning them into water and charging towards her.
She freezes Melissa in the water. Melissa then unfreezes the ice with her bending and shot an arrow, nearly hit Y/n if she did not dodge to the side. She starting kicking fire in Melissa’s direction. Melissa jumped out of the way and landed on her feet.
“Can’t we help or something?” Trevor asks killing the last night creature.
“We can’t. This a bending battle.” Alucard answered looking as Y/n metalbended the heads of the arrows that Melissa shot before turning them back at her. Melissa dodged them all. Melissa then showed something unexpected.
She took of her jacket to reveal tattoos, and not just any tattoos, alchemy tattoos.
“What the?” Y/n asked looking in shock.
“Oh, yeah. I’m an alchemist and a bender.” Melissa said with a smirk before clapping her hands and touched the ground, causing spikes to grow out of the ground and charge for Y/n.
She jumped in the air and landed back on her feet with a loud thud causing an air shockwave that hit Melissa back. She then encased Melissa in boulders and metal.
“We need to go, that won’t keep-AAH!.” She said only to be cut off by a fire blast to her side.
“Y/n!” the others called as their friend laid on her stomach and groaned as she tried to get up but only for the pain to sting. They ran up to her and checked her wound. It was a gruesome gash that went from under her right breast to her hip.
“Oh boo, hoo, hoo.” Melissa teased walking towards them. Y/n had her back against Alucard’s chest with her head on his shoulder. She lifted herself and earthbent the ground for pillars that shot Melissa in the sky. She then laid her head on Alucard’s shoulder again while Sypha examined the wound.
“Man, that’s fucking nasty.” Trevor said looking at it.
“I know it is, now would you just shut up.” Sypha scolded trying to stop the bleeding causing her sister figure to groan in agony and bury her face in the crook of Alucard’s neck.
“Let me just-” Sypha says before burning the wound to close it but just managed to partly close. “Don’t pressurise it because it can still bleed.” She advices as Y/n faced her.
“Thanks.” Y/n said smiling at her.
“What’s this?” Trevor asks noticing a white necklace with a black fish.
“It’s a bender necklace.” Y/n breathed while Alucard gently laid her in the caravan.
“A what?” Sypha asks before Y/n took a black necklace with a white fish out of her bag.
“A bender necklace is black and white fish representing balance. I found this one in the box when I found my scrolls. As the Avatar, I have to atleast maintain balance in the world. These necklaces can help me when I enter the spirit world. That is why I could not master entering the spirit world before.” Y/n explains as Trevor gave her the other half. She connected them and wore it.
"You needed both necklaces." Sypha finished before Y/n nodded with a small smile.
“The Yin And Yan.” Sypha mumbled looking at the necklace and Y/n's hair.
“What are you saying?” Trevor asks as Alucard helps Y/n sit up properly.
“How are you feeling?” he asks her.
“In a little pain but I’m okay.” She answers smiling fondly at him.
“Sister, what if you are the balance? Not anyone would be chosen to be the Avatar. All the past Avatars before knew you were the perfect choice and you just want peace just like God would want.” Sypha listed looking at her.
“We need to go. We can’t waste anymore time.” Trevor said sitting in front and Sypha joined him while the huskies jumped in and surrounded their best friend.
