Hyori’s POV

Bom has been acting strangely lately, especially around Jung-woo. It was Jung-woo always unable to talk to Bom but now it was vice versa. It wasn’t like Bom didn’t talk to Jung-woo but she seems as though she was trying to keep her distance. I felt bad for Jung-woo but I didn’t ask Bom why. Even if I did, I doubted she would have told me.

“Hey Guys,” Jung-woo came up to us one day along with Gin, “summer break is coming up already, next week. Are you guys free for the first week?”

                “Why?” I asked.

“Well,” he started staring hopefully at Bom, “I was wondering if you guys were free you could come over to this resort by this really nice beach. Gin’s coming too and we’re going for two days and three nights so if you guys are free and you’re up for it…”

“Sure,” I grinned brightly, “I can go. What about you Bom?”

She shrugged, “I’ll have to ask my dad.”

“She’ll probably be able to go,” I reassured Jung-woo.

“Okay,” he grinned, “we’re going the day right after summer break ends. If you’re going tell me and I’ll get a ride to pick you guys up.”

                “Rides?” I repeated.

“You see,” Gin smiled crookedly, “Jung-woo’s father is super rich and he owns that resort. So he could send a couple of cars. No biggie. They always pick Jung-woo up from school. I’ve rode those thousands of times with him.”

“Oh really?” me and Bom replied in surprise, “we never knew.”

“Yeah well, ask your parents and tell me soon,” he muttered and they left.

“Do you think your dad will let you go?” I questioned Bom, “I know mine would.”

“Yes probably,” Bom smiled, “I’ll have to convince him.”

There was a pause and then she added, “Jung-woo seem more comfortable around us now.”

I was secretly pleased that she had brought him up. I wanted them to get together – honestly.

“Of course,” I replied, “we’re his friends, aren’t we?”

Bom’s POV

I knew that Hyori was excited to go on this vacation trip. After all, it would be with Jung-woo. I wasn’t sure about tagging along but I was tempted. I knew it would be fun, even though I’ve never been on these kinds of trips before.

Afterschool came by quickly; me and Hyori departed ways on the bus. I made my way to my house, hoping that my dad wouldn’t be in a bad mood.

“Bom!” thankfully he wasn’t drunk today, “welcome home!”

I looked around and the place was empty. I forgot that today was Friday. The bar was closed.
