The rain that sooths the mind

Tw: Mentions of almost dying, getting overwhelmed by stress and anxiety.

The sounds of rain could be heard just outside the windows of Shinsou's and Kaminari's room they shared in an apartment building.

The rain was something that Kaminari thought was relaxing and calming. One earbud was in while the other wasn't, so he could still hear the nice sounds of rain and his music.

Shinsou, on the other hand, couldn't care less if it rained or not. But the sight of his boyfriend was something he would always treasure. Kaminari's eyes focused on the rain drops, a small smile would appear here and there. But best of all, was how calm and at peace he seemed to be. The two didn't have many moments like this.

They were both pro-hero's and being able to have a break was like breathing in fresh air for the first time. Shinsou always felt sad when they got a break. Kaminari would be so stressed and scared of losing the one he cared about most, that when he got a break. He looked so free. If Shinsou could control the weather, he would make it rain every day.

Suddenly. Shinsou could feel a tear roll down his face. He too was scared of losing the one person who brought him the most happiness. But seeing the once stressed blond so at peace and relaxed made him feel relaxed as well.

Shinsou quickly wiped his face. Keeping Kaminari from seeing him at such state. Just on que, Kaminari looked over at Shinsou. A big smile planted on his face. And to think Shinsou used to think that smile was annoying. Now, it was rare he saw it. Kaminari took out his earbud, pausing his music. "Hey Toshi!" The sound in Kaminari's voice was so energetic, so free and happy.

Something In Shinsou broke. A small, weak smile on his face while tears spilled down his face. A concerned and worried look appeared on Kamina's face. "What happened?" He said, his voice matching his expression. Tho Shinsou did not speak, he smiled. He smiled at the person who he loved with all his heart. It took a bit for him to even say anything. Kaminari was sitting in front of him on their bed. Holding the same expression as before.

Shinsou put both of his hands on Kaminari's cheeks before he finally spoke. "I just want things to stay like this" was all he said, and Kaminari understood. How could he not? He wish's everything was as calm as this. Sometimes even wish's they weren't pro-heroes. "I know" Kaminari's voice was now wobbly. And soon they were both crying.

They cried in each other's arms. Letting out all of the stress and fear that they may have felt during the week prier. It was to be expected.

The rain never stopped but got harder and harder. As the two calmed down their crying, they didn't say anything to each other, the relaxing silence between the two was nice and refreshing. The silent love was something the two always loved.

At some point Kaminari had fallen asleep on Shinsou's lap. It could have been from crying, or how relaxing the rain was. Shinsou didn't really care either or, he just wishes to be with Kaminari at this moment of time.

Tho Shinsou was awake, he took the time to look at blond even more. Admiring Kaminari was something Shinsou did a lot, but he couldn't keep his eyes away from him. As Shinsou held Kaminari closer to himself, he finally felt like nothing couldn't harm them. Not at this moment.

The feeling of love was the last thing Shinsou wanted. But that's what he needed. Through all of his life issues and dangers, Shinsou thought it was the last thing he needed. But it was the first thing he needed. Who could've thought. Hitoshi Shinsou, the one who didn't want friends would end up with the best person in the universe and become a pro-hero.

No one would have expected that, except for Denki Kaminari himself. He saw that Shinsou needed someone to be there, so he chose himself to be there for him. And Shinsou couldn't thank him enough.

Tho Shinsou was shocked when Kaminari confessed to him. He was mean to Kaminari in the beginning. Telling him to go away, telling him he was annoying and stupid even! Kaminari always smiled and laughed at that. The smile Shinsou wished he didn't take advantage of.

Everything seemed so simple back at UA compared to actually being a pro-hero it was un-real. Shinsou himself almost died. Kaminari was so scared that day he didn't eat till Shinsou woke up. Kaminari almost died as well. CPR was the thing that saved his life. The fear Shinsou felt that day, was something he knows he will feel again.

But in this moment, everything was ok. They were both alive and that's all Shinsou wanted. It was something so simple, yet so hard to ask for. As long as Kaminari was in Shinsou's arms, safe and alive and Shinsou was there holding him, calm and alive. They would both be ok.

The rain poured. The sound, so calming. Making the two both fall asleep.
